Usually they go right for the box, so that was a great sign! This thing is HUGE! We're actually putting two straps on it to attach to the wall to be safe. It goes nearly to our ceiling and we didn't think the fur kids would use the top bed, but in the last hour of it being constructed, we've already had 3 arguments over who gets to lay in it. The soft covers on the top 3 beds are removable so I can throw them in the washer, which is something I've never seen before.. And I've owned MANY cat towers. I HIGHLY recommend this tower. I plan to update in a few weeks to months to be able to accurately guage it's stability in holding up to our 8 boys and senior lady. It is really nice to look at for a cat tower as well. When I pulled it out the package they were immediately interested because of the texture of the material once I started putting it together they were intrigued they were sniffing around. Could this be from me by the time I got it halfway built they knew it was theirs. It was cute watching them, discover the different features of this tree. It was easy to put together. The directions were self-explanatory. It is dirty, but because of it straight up design, if you have active cats or heavier cats, I would suggest to reinforce it. My younger cat is pretty playful so I will reinforce it by using the tip over reinforcement. The platforms are sturdy and it’s spacious I love her. My girl couldn’t wait to climb on it the second I finished putting it together. It’s very tall and also surprisingly heavy, so if you order it, you may want someone to help you lift it or move it into place. One thing to mention: it did have a bit of an odd smell when I first took it out of the box. Luckily, after a few days of airing out, the smell went away completely and it hasn’t been an issue since. Now that it’s set up, my cats are really entertained by it. They especially love the little mouse toy that hangs from the bottom, it’s been a big hit. Assembly was also straightforward. I put it together by myself in about 25 minutes, and the instructions were easy to follow.
