Streaming Stick HD with Voice Remote | Compact 4K Streaming Device for TV with Roku Voice Remote & Long-Range Wi-Fi - Free & Live Local News, Sports

I've used Roku products for years and I continue to do so because 1) I am used to the interface and (most importantly) 2) the streaming products work well. I got this streaming stick for my no-name $69 guest bedroom TV. The TV had an available USB and HDMI port open which made for easy connection. The stick automatically recognized my no-name TV and configured the Roku remote so that power and volume functions work with it. When I signed in with my Roku account, all of my apps were automatically installed and even the logins were configured. This was the easiest setup of a Roku device I've ever encountered. The performance is what you expect from a Roku. The startup is not quite as snappy as my Roku Ultra box but once running, navigation is quick. At the dirt cheap price (even when not on sale), this is recommended.

Easy setup. Easy to use. One remote that works for all functionality. Great value for the price. The exact opposite of an Apple TV at 20% of the price. I may replace all my Apple TVs with Roku Sticks.

The Roku streaming device is simple to set up, easy to navigate, and works great for streaming all my favorite shows and apps. The picture quality is excellent, and the interface is user-friendly. A great value for anyone looking to upgrade their TV!

I am not techy. If I can hook this up, anyone can. Once it’s plugged in, it walks you through tv set up. Easy, peasy. I am a fan of Roku TV’s to begin with, it’s so simple (like Apple used to be) and they have their own station with every possible free channel you can think from new to old movies and tv series, to special interests of all sorts, live to tv channels. There are some apps preloaded and you can download apps if you need more. The remote is simple and to the point. All around good quality product.

Works great! Perfect! Really easy to use. Plug it right in the remote is awesome because you can just press the little microphone button and say adult swim or Netflix or whatever it is and it will go right to it. Not only that it was really easy to hook up to Alexa and I have the echo show 5 and I just say "hey Alexa?!" "can you turn on the TV please?!".... AND BA BAM!!!!

Got this for my mom as an affordable alternative to her HDTV antenna. Setup was relatively easy because I'm a former IT professional and I know how to configure routers and firewalls and things. Everything seemed to work okay, but my Alzheimer's mom couldn't figure out how to use it (no big surprise there). It's currently attached to her TV, unused. If there was one negative thing I would say about it, it is that the user interface is completely opaque to 88 year-olds with dementia.

Setup took about five minutes and it was streaming right away. The interface is quick and intuitive, the voice remote is handy, and it handles all my apps without lag or buffering. It's tiny and tucks neatly behind the TV. For the price, this turned an older TV into a fully capable smart TV. Couldn't be happier with it.

The improvements made on this thing (compared to the older Roku that could only be plugged into the wall) are wild. I got this to use on my partner's TV after we moved in together. He has an older samsung smart TV that's bigger than my Roku TV, so we put my TV in the guest room and his TV in the bedroom. Because his TV is over 10 years old, it can't really handle the apps anymore. He was using a Chromecast with it, but it was a couple years old and while he seemed satisfied with its performance, I was not. I was accustomed to Roku level efficiency. I have the older Roku on my big Plasma TV and I have my Roku TV I used in my old bedroom, and he didn't have much experience with Roku products so he didn't know how they compared. Chromecast was so slow and glitchy (imo), that I decided to get a Roku device to try on his Samsung TV, but was a little skeptical of the streaming stick. So I was super impressed once I hooked it up and saw just how much it upgraded our TV viewing experience. It basically does everything a Roku TV can do. It plugs into the HDMI port, but can plug into the USB port for power (if your television has one). We weren't sure it was getting enough power that way though, so we plugged it into a USB power outlet. The remote has voice recognition, which is nice, but sometimes it's slower than just typing things in. My favourite feature is the Bluetooth capability. Being able to hook up my earbuds or headphones to this old television is awesome. I thought I was unhappy with this 2012 smart TV and wanted a new one, but this Roku stick upgraded the TV in every way I was hoping for. It's faster, we have all the apps I wanted, it has leveling and Bluetooth capabilities, and the remote is responsive. Super happy with this product and I'll probably get another one to upgrade the old Roku device on my Plasma TV.

Bought it to cast from an Android tablet which it does well however I discovered it does poor multitasking. I started one tv app, then thought to try another and by the time I tried the fourth I noticed performance issues akin to buffering. When I restarted the Roku one app (tv channel) played fine. Perhaps I could have made changes in the settings, not sure as I put it into a drawer and decided to use a far more expensive chromcast device on my non smart tv. I would have returned the Roku if someone hadn’t thrashed the box.

Best Streaming Device. Limited Apps for Indian users but YouTube, Prime Video and Netflix working fine.

We have a very old but still functioning TV. This stick has brought it back from the garage and into use by one of the children, who loves the apps range.
