Not just for board sports!
I did a lot of research on different balance boards with rollers, and eventually settled on the Swell 2.0. I’ve had it for a couple of years now, and haven’t had any issues. The quality is solid, and the board surface is just grippy enough for barefoot training, but not TOO grippy to make doing turns difficult. It hasn’t peeled off or anything. The magnetic stoppers can be knocked off if you roll too hard and fast in one direction, FYI; 99% of the time, they stay well put. Once you feel more comfortable on your board, you’ll likely take off those “training wheels” anyway. But it is a nice feature, to be able to move them into different positions. I haven’t seen this particular feature from any other balance board brand on the market. The length of the board and the roller are a great size. Some boards are really short, or a wide oval, while some are really narrow and more geared towards skateboard training. Some have much smaller diameter rollers, or really short rollers. But this is a great “general training” board, and I think the size makes it more versatile, and easier for beginners. You’re able to spread your stance wider on the Swell, better mimicking the stance you have when surfing. I do use this board to make weight training and cardio more challenging. (Revolution does also make the FIT board specifically for this, but the Swell 2.0 has the same weight limit rating of up to 450lbs.) You can do overhead presses, racked kettlebell squats (which would be less doable on a shorter or narrower board), windmills and the like on this thing. I’ve personally tested the Swell up to 200 lbs and it was fine. I also have their air cushion, which I sometimes use with the board, or on its own. It’s worth it, as an add-on. I especially recommend this for any kind of sport that requires a lot of balance. It has helped me progress in my roller skating and paddleboarding, for sure.

Quality build, effective and FUN!
I’m not one for writing reviews but this deserves the kudos. Amazing build, love that that the stopper is magnetic so you easily scale up the difficulty. I found that progression has happened pretty quickly because of how much I’m on it… probably 30 minutes a day just because I crave doing it. I also noticed I felt a lot lighter and more balanced skating after a week or so - big win! Im already planning on getting the core32 once I feel like I’ve gotten really confident on this model. If you’re wondering if you should get it, and can, DO IT!

Awesome board!
Great and versatile balance board. The removable stops are nice and allow for many different types of use and level of difficulty. The materials are high quality and the board is really sturdy. I’ve had a ton of fun with this so far!

New toy! Fun and effective balance training
I think this is the first review I have ever written on Amazon. That is how much I love this new toy of mine. I purchased this board to help train for a 21 mile SUP race in order to get more time on the board. I considered the Goofboard and Indo board as part of my research and ultimately decided on this one. A couple of reasons for this: 1. Is bi-directional. This was the biggest deciding factors. You can use it both 'ways' with the bumper placement on either side. Really helpful for getting started. The ability to turn it closely mimics foot placement on a paddle board. 2. Decking material very similar to paddle board top- can easily jump on and off with bare feet. Will help with my foot 'grip strength' if that makes sense. 3. Company solvency. Revolution seems to be developing and releasing new products while the Goofboard is discontinuing models. I wanted to purchase a product from a company that is doing new R&D for their products so that they would be there for support. 4. Customer service. I chatted with someone on their team while doing my research. The online chat feature (on their website) was helpful in making sure I bought the right product for my practice. I have had this board for about a week now and have consistently used it for 30-45 mins on my 'rest' workout days. It is super fun and I set it up in the living room with a blanket underneath for more traction since I have tile floors. My boyfriend loves it too and we have to take turns while we are hanging out watching tv and cooking dinner. It took about one session to feel fairly solid. I still use the counter as a crutch in case I go too far. Could easily use a broom handle or the back of a chair for getting started. Just make sure that you have a carpet or something with a deeper pile which will help you starting off. I used a sheepskin throw over a yoga mat and intend to remove the sheepskin for a faster 'ride' once I feel pretty solid with my technique. Net-net, if you are looking for a fun way to build stability and strength, I think this product is fantastic. Easy to get started. I would recommend this for any athlete trying to cross train. My boyfriend is a cyclist and I run/paddle and am an aspiring yogi. I can't wait to see how this impacts all my workouts. I am even thinking of getting one for my 65+ yo mom for Mother's Day! Enjoy!

I have had 4 ACL replacements and need to keep my core strong and do a lot of balance training to compensate for my crappy knees
I bought the Rev board after borrowing my upstairs neighbor's Indo board for a few days. I took a chance by ordering this instead because it was a little cheaper. I have had 4 ACL replacements and need to keep my core strong and do a lot of balance training to compensate for my crappy knees. I also do enough supping that I've realized my balance needs some work. This is probably the single best thing out there for that. The board and roller themselves are great. While I ordered it sight unseen to save a few bucks, I actually like this better than the Indo board because of the lightly padded surface. It feels kind of like neoprene and gives you better grip if you're doing this barefoot, which I usually am - and more comfortable on your feet than the weird graininess/textured top of the Indo board. I also ordered just a generic wobble cushion to use with it as well when working out. While I can balance on the roller just by itself, I'm not yet confident enough in my balancing skills to use it for squats or other exercises. The cushion underneath provides a slightly easier option for that kind of stuff. February 2016 update - Reducing from 5 status to 3 a while I still like and use it, I'm not quite as thrilled with it. Within the first month, the black coating glued on to the tube started to come unglued. I have attempted to contact the company repeatedly via email, via their website, via their website chat feature, etc., and I have never heard back despite repeat attempts. To me, that's not exactly great customer service, since they don't stand behind their product. The coating has entirely unraveled and it's now down to the naked plastic tube. Wish I'd just spent the extra $20 and bought an indo board in the first place. If I were to buy it again, that's definitely what I'd do. March 2016 - After seeing my February update, the company reached out and offered to send me a new roller. Apparently the one I had was an older version. This newer one seems much better, and unlike the old one, hasn't started coming unglued in just a couple weeks. I'm glad they made this right even though it had been so long since I bought it. The board itself was always very nice, and with the new roller, it's now a complete quality product.

I like the length to width ratio of this board
I like the length to width ratio of this board. There are rubber stops on the bottom that can be switched to accommodate toe-to-heel balance (placing the roller lengthwise under the board) or tail to nose balance (placing the roller width-wise under the board). The stops can be completely removed, as well. They are easy to remove. I wish that the ones for the nose and tail could be moved further out. It's an easy modification, if desired, however. Having the ability to change it up allows you to mimic the balance involved in different board sports (SUP, longboard, snowboard, etc.). The foam on top provides nice shock-absorption and grip. It is best used with bare feet. I'm not sure it would hold up to repeated uses with sneakers or shoes. The light gray foam on top does show dirt easily. You can practice a SUP stance, surfing stance, riding the nose, and more. You can even do squats and some yoga poses on it. The board feels extremely well made and should last a long time.

Great product, amazing for eliminating hip, knee, and lower back pain
I bought this board primarily to exercise my legs, hips, and lower back, and secondly to improve my balance, surfing, and dancing skills. I suffer from lower back, knee, and hip pain due to the nature of my work and sitting down in a chair all day. As a therapeutic tool, this board works amazing well - after only a couple hours, my balance is was significantly improved, my lower back and hips stopped hurting altogether, and my knee pain became less pronounced as well. At the same time, the neglected muscles and tendons in that entire region became "awake" again and I already feel the burn as well as some moderate strength gains in those muscle groups. It's so much fun to dance to music on this thing. I hope to learn and I think practicing on land will help me a lot when it comes time to test my balance on the surf. One minor complaint - on my first try, I used the board barefoot and I guess I tracked some dirt on the board. The combination of my feet, friction, and dust bunnies scratched off some of the blue paint. I feel like a layer of laminate or something would sense here from a durability perspective.

Perfection Out Of The Box
Love everything about this product - the ability to reconfigure the stoppers is crucial for toe-to-heel surf maneuvers and proprioception. Love the soft grip pad on the deck. Got it 4hrs ago - haven't stopped using it 'cept to write this review. Seems well built and comes with stickers, single page manual, and excellent packaging. As much as I dig the OG wooden IndoB, this is an evolution in the right direction.

Best purchase ever!
I purchased this board for my husband who has a bad balance. In only 2 days he has improved a lot. My son loves the board too and organized a family challenge. We keep track of the time we stay on the board doing tricks. It’s super fun! We placed the board and roller on a yoga mat. It works perfect! Not only the board improves the balance, it’s also great for the abs and the lower body muscles! We couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Money well spent!
