Let me start with the cons. This is very salty. If you eat it as a snack, you'll need a tall glass of water or another beverage. Alternatively, you can put it in a mug, pour water over it, and fish out the pieces to eat, and then heat the water and drink it as a broth. Or use it to cook with, and use less salt in the recipe. Another downside is that it has sodium nitrite as preservative. I think fear of small amounts of preservatives is irrational, but I also know that for some people, it's a dealbreaker.For me, the presence of preservatives is a plus. In the past, I've had "preservative-free" jerky go moldy on me. Maybe it's just the area I live in, high humidity in the air. I had to store that jerky in the freezer. But this at least lasts long enough for me to be able to eat it!Another pro is that it's high in protein. By weight, it's straight up 50% protein, and by calories, it's 80% protein! It's very low in saturated fat. As long as you don't have an undue fear of preservatives or red meat, this can fit into most diets and help a lot of people meet their health/fitness goals. It's also very low in carbs and has no added sugars, so can fit into low carb and keto diets.

I've tried 'em all, & this is by far my favorite. Not too spicy, yet not too bland, either. A quality product, consistantly better than others I've tried. The Gold Standard by which I judge others, my go-to jerky. Sidenote: Amazon has been using UPS to deliver packages lately, & here in the deep south, mailboxes get WAY too hot for beef jerky! It's too expensive to be ruined by heat damage. I will be trying the 'This pkg contains a gift' delivery option next time, maybe Amazon will put it in a box on my porch next time!

Really overseasoned. I felt like I had to drink an entire glass of water with each piece as it is very salty. Good product, but needs to tone down on the salt.

Zero sugar but a lot of salt and you would have thought that would have prevented it from getting moldy - NOT! It doesn't taste like jerky and it certainly doesn't taste good! So, I stopped eating it and it got white fuzzy mold on it. Yuk!

I like the product. It is drier than their other jerky, and gives off a powdery texture. the flavors and saltiness are more pronounced as there is no sweetness masking it. If you eat sweets, you probably won't like this. These are just natural trade offs. As a more natural snack with no added sugar, I'm very satisfied.p.s. if you just like jerky and don't care about the sugar, I think the other flavors were great.

There seems to be this issue that zero sugar means zero flavor.Most flavorings they use for these products are very chemical and sugar based.It's as if they've spent so much effort developing chemicals to trick your brain, that they forgot how to naturally flavor things with spices and herbs.A bit chewy, probably not a bad thing for the health of your jaw muscles and joints, but most don't prefer this.For the astounding price, id expected better tasting jerky, removing sugar is not the reason it's bland, it's refusal to make recipes that dont solely revolve around added sugars.

Delicious, soft and fresh beef jerky. Tasted like it was just made. Will order again.
