B-Series Soundbar HW B400F 2.0 ch Soundbar with Built in Subwoofer (2025 Model) One Remote Control, Surround Sound Expansion, Voice Enhance Mode

I needed an inexpensive soundbar for the bedroom TV. I had a nice Yamaha soundbar that was destroyed in a storm 2 weeks ago. I turned the TV speakers back on, and couldn't believe how bad they sounded. Then I saw this Samsung basic inexpensive soundbar. I wasn't expecting much, even though I own many Samsung products that are fantastic. It's that $79 bucks is insanely cheap for a soundbar. It arrived packaged like a quality item, and setup was a breeze. The sound quality blew me away! Clear crisp speech across all different types of broadcasts including movies with lots of background noise. Tge sound doesn't distorted at high volume. It fills a bedroom with quality sound. It's a small footprint 40 watt 2 channel unit, so it's not going to provide a movie theater experience. However, its way better that the stock TV speakers and provides a good quality sound at a crazy low price. I highly recommend.

Decent soundbar. Small and light so it’s discreet. Super easy to set up. Provide clear and crisp audio. Bluetooth works seamlessly. The only issue is that any setting change is indicated by blinking lights and you have to really understand how often it blinks to know what setting you are using. (Ie: all speakers or just one speaker) keep the directions handy to know what each setting is. Good value for its cost.

It's okay, but I need to invest in a higher priced option for more volume capacity and to add a sub-woofer. This unit is strictly 2 channel. The remote has function for Woofer but it doesn't do anything on this model - probably this same remote is included with other models. I think I will move it to a different TV.

Big bass for it's size...I made the right choice,love it girlfriend not so much says it is too loud !!!

Revision: I ended up doing a bunch of troubleshooting and got it working (half) decent. Reached out to Amazon, they ran me through several basic steps, did not resolve anything and they offered a replacement- I did not accept Was about to send it back, but figured I’d try a few more things 1. Switched from optical to hdmi/arc. No optional to switch output to soundbar 2. Turned on anynet+/cec. Output option appeared, still horrible sound 3. Switched setting to Dolby - it worked! Much better sound - aligned to my expectations The tv remote does control the soundbar, it just doesn’t display the numbers when increasing/decreasing. I bumped from 2 to 3 stars because it is functional, the sound quality is good - not amazing, but not awful. Much closer alignment of price to value than my last review. I may have gone to 4, but this was a frustrating experience and lack of easy to understand soundbar configuration options. I’m still semi tempted to return and get a better quality one that supports SmartThings… but I doubt I’d do that. Original Review: Have an older Samsung tv in my bedroom mounted on the wall. When it rains heavy or I have a portable air conditioner running to cool the hot upstairs, the sound from the tv isn’t great. Was hoping for something with a little more .. oomph. This soundbar was not it. I’m sitting here listening to it now and honestly I think the tv sound is overall better. The sound controls work, but i normally turn the tv up to 10-12 and can hear it fine. I have to turn this up to 50 for the same quality/loudness. I turned it up to 100 and it’s louder .. but man, I think the tv gets louder. granted the tv speakers would probably blow in no time. It’s easy to setup Worked fine with the Samsung tv, both Bluetooth and optical. There’s a loud annoying voice when switching between inputs, powering on, etc. The bass is better than the tv, but that’s the only thing that’s better I suppose if your tv sound is shot, this will do the job. Do not consider this an upgrade to normal tv sound by any means. I have 2 other (more expensive) Samsung soundbars that are phenomenal- this does not fall into that category. Not usable for what I wanted it for. I’m debating on returning it or maybe repurposing it.

I was looking for the best compact soundbar for my mom's TV so that she can enjoy her programs more. I saw the Samsung HW-B400F on sale and got excited because I have a premium Samsung 5.1.2 soundbar setup the HW-Q800F that sounds absolutely amazing. I thought since the HW-B400F was Samsung it was going to have the best quality of sound but I was wrong. The speakers on the HW-B400F produce thin sounding audio with barely any bass even when you have the bass turned all the way up. All audio produced by this soundbar sounds thin even the bass. That's the best way to describe it. Like the speakers are made of really thin paper or something. The only good thing about this sound bar is that you can make adjustments to make the dialogue very clear and loud. Something else that is a real disappointment about this sound bar is you can't see a volume indicator on the front of the sound bar letting you know how high or low the volume is. Also it doesn't even include an HDMI cable for the ARC port. Also this soundbar is not compatible with a Samsung app. It would have made adjusting the settings so much easier. I have spent a lot of time looking for the best sound bar that was around 24 in wide and the best one I found was the Vizio V20. You can get it for like $55 like new certified refurbished on eBay with a two-year warranty. The moral of the story is when Samsung makes entry level products they cut corners and it isn't good quality compared to their premium products. Anyways check out the Vizio v20 soundbar if you're looking for a 24 inch sound bar. For what it is it's impressive and it comes with an HDMI cable.

Had this connected to my Samsung TV and it’s exactly what I was looking for! Wanted just a little bit more power when I watch music videos and it’s perfect for the money. Simple to sync with my tv and sounds amazing.

I got this for my moms birthday. She is very happy with the soundbar as it makes her TV sound much better. My concern was she turns her T.V up because of hearing. I put this up and now she doesn't go too much past 50 vs 100 lol. It has a decent bass for the size. It's not a large soundbar as I typically wanted. But for the Value it brings Its not a bad option. It has surround or Standard, my m I mom has it on surround for Movies and Standard for her Soaps. There's a bass volume button as well depending on what you need for the voices on TV. For a small bar, maybe I think 24-27 in. It packs a punch. Comes with 2 brackets and Hole marker to know where the screws go. In her case we just mounted it under her TV that sits high on her Desk. Its a samsung so it fits well with her phone, TV and Bluetooth connection. The Quality is as always from Samsung, well put together, great value for the sale we got it at during Prime Day.. Very Happy as my moms happy, that's all that matters!
