If you are looking to learn without soldering, THIS IS THE KIT!!
This kit is awesome! My daughter loves learning about Circuits and Magnetism. We are computer systems administrators so this review is from a professional perspective. This is a step above snap! We dislike snap! This is great for kids and students where soldering is either too dangerous or time constraints are an issue. The pages are detailed, but a book on basic electronics that is AGE APPROPRIATE will be beneficial. You will learn to build series and parallel circuits immediately. There is some discussion of schematics, but just surface level.Again, lots of info for this in on the web.I love the crank and motors that are included, but i suggest using a colored disk (think pie wedges that are red, yellow, blue etc and trying different combinations and maybe getting a pinwheel to further show motors use).I love the switches and battery enclosures. While designed for middle and High SchoolStudents- this kit works with kids from ages 6+ if properly instructed.Double AA betteries will be the only thing you need to stock up on.I wish I had this kit growing up. I was soldering by age 10, but the ease of this may have helped me explore more difficult concepts like 3 way wiring earlier. Yes, you can do that with this kit.

Great educational tool.
My grandson wanted to learn more about electronics and electricity. He had a great time putting the projects together and learning how it worked.

Great kit. Poor screw down connectors
Lots of good stuff in this kit. My son loves it. Only complaint is the plastic nuts that hold the wire connections strip incredibly easily and no longer make reliable connection

Fun and engaging!
The media could not be loaded. I bought 2 kits over 5 years ago and they have held up so well! I’ve used them in science classes ranging from ages 10 -16 for both an electricity intro and review. I like to set up stations for the students to work through in a small group. This is appropriate for both home or classroom use, individual or group work. Easy to follow instructions, while introducing and exploring difficult concepts. Great price! Would also make a great gift.

Great kit - faulty magnet
This is a good, basic kit. The quality isn't amazing, but the kit is inexpensive. However, the polarity of the horseshoe magnet in my kit is incorrect. Inside the horseshoe the polarity is reversed, meaning that the experiments appear to demonstrate exactly the opposite of what they should e.g. when using the magnet with the double rail module, the force is exerted in exactly the opposite direction to that which should be created given the N/S markings on the magnet. This makes this kit unusable for such experiments/demonstrations. However, generally it is a good kit.

Excellent Educational Learning Tool.
This product was purchased for our 14 year old grandson. It was well packaged and presented. It complements what he is learning in his high school in 9th grade, The German International School, in White Plains, NY. It is an interesting and educational product.

Nice learning tool
I liked all the various types of exercises you can do with this. What I didn't like was the meager instructions and the quality of some of the parts. The instructions were not suitable for self-learning. As a teacher I was able to provide complete instructions and figure out what each exercise was attempting to demonstrate. I watched my student struggle to try to figure out what he was supposed to do. There was one piece that did not work until I removed and reinstalled the screw that was holding down one of the wires. A student would never have figured this out.
