On-Guard Rottweiler-8024 Keyed Armoured Lock - Black, 12.0 x 2.5 cm

Got a new bike, needed a bike chain. I bought this based on other reviews.Its pretty heavy and feels sturdy enough. Im pretty confident that with a determined enough effort and the right tools you could cut through this... but then I am sure the same could be said for pretty much every bike chain. Given the build quality of this I am certianly confident enough leaving my bike chained up with this.The chain itself is a good length and long enough to chain one bike or at a bit of apush two to a suitable structure.Comes with lots of keys 6 I think and the main key has a nice touch as it has an LED light on it so you can see where you are pointing it in the dark.Does it work - well 9 months of use and nobody has nicked my bike yet.... but I dont think any one has tried.

This one's a tricky one, and I wasn't sure how to rate it. I'm sure the lock is very good, the cable is certainly thick and armoured, the 5 keys, one with a light will I'm sure be useful! The thing is that I bought the lock based on its cable length as I wanted to pass it through both wheels, frame etc. the information on the page was sadly lacking regarding the length of the cable, but there was a question asked about this, to which a vendor (not the one I purchased it from) had replied. The information provided suggested the cable was 120cm long. This would have been sufficient to lock my bike as I had hoped, and I therefore ordered the lock. When it arrived however it was only 100cm long, and therefore not long enough for what I needed it to do. As I would have had to pay a small fortune in postage to return it, (it's not exactly lightweight!) I have decided to keep it and if necessary buy an extension cable. Not ideal, (hence the 3 stars as it does not fully fit my purpose) but there you go!

I have been using the lock for more or less a year now, and it is starting to give me some problems, which I expect someone to solve since it has lifetime warranty:The lock gets stucked everytime i try to close it, and it takes me a few minutes to manage to close it. Every time. This is getting very annoying, amd I would have expected a longer lasting lock.Apart from that, this is a very nice lock. It looks tough, it is thik, it is long enough to lock 1 wheel + frame anywhere, and it has a nice mechanism that holds the key until it is locked, so you never leave it open.It doesn't come with a bike holder or something like that, I just carry it locked around me.

This is an excellent lock at a great price, providing a good level of security without being overly bulky and heavy.It doesn't come with anything to attach it to your bike when riding, but it can be coiled up neatly enough and I've just been putting it in my bag without a problem.The rubberised casing around the lock is good for avoiding scratches where it comes into contact with your bike. Comes with a set of 5 keys, the main one with a LED light for convenience - a small thing maybe, but to me that's a sign of thoughtful product design by people who know what they're doing and use these products in the field.Well worth it.

This is a beast of a lock. I had no idea how big it actually was until it arrived. It took me 15 minutes how to work out the best way to secure it to my bike whilst riding without it blocking my leg movements or getting it trapped in the brake cables. I found a way then instantly forgot, so each time is a new challenge. On the plus side it says to potential thieves 'no chance mate, look elsewhere', which I guess is part of the point. On the downside if it ever turned on me I don't think I would win, but that's another issue.
