Amazing! My skin stays so soft all day. Used this after having a laser treatment on my face and neck and it helped so much with the itching while healing. It has a whipped sort of texture and I love that there is no fragrance on the unscented. Will continue to purchase as my skin loves it and I didn’t break out at all rather skin looks so glowing and fresh.

I absolutely love this vanilla coffee-scented beef tallow lotion! Unscented and lavender/peppermint purchased. For eczema: I had my first eczema flare-up in over 15 years, and it was a doozy! I was desperate, and through my internet research I heard that beef tallow could be a remedy for eczema. I was shocked at how effective this was at improving my eczema overnight, with it continuing to improve each day. Anytime I felt the eczema getting worse, I would apply more of this and it would help keep it at bay! I’ve been using it for a few weeks and it has truly saved my hand (and my sanity). For face: I had been on the fence about trying beef tallow as facial moisturizer, but figured, what the heck? I’m trying it for my eczema, why not try as a facial moisturizer too? Two birds, one jar of beef tallow! I was impressed at how moisturized my skin instantly felt after application. I normally have combination skin, with an excessively oily T-zone. Since using this product, my overproduction of oil has ceased, my skin is moisturized without getting oily throughout the day. I also have pretty sensitive skin, and this has not irritated my skin or caused any breakouts. WARNING: You have to be careful with how much you apply! A little goes a long way. If your skin feels greasy, you’ve used too much. Less is more. Scent: The unscented does have a very mild scent of beef tallow (which I expected because, you know, it’s made of beef tallow), but it’s only noticeable if you apply to your face. I apply a lip mask with a pleasant scent, and it masks it perfectly. The lavender/peppermint is fabulous! I purchased this one for my mom because she could smell the beef tallow in the unscented product. She is sensitive to smells, and 100% approved of the lavender-peppermint. The scent is refreshing and relaxing, not overwhelming and fades without leaving any weird smells behind. I love this product!!! I will be ordering it forever!!! I hope they never change the formula!!! My only dilemma is, which scent should I try next?

I purchased mine back in May of 2026. I've been pretty consistent with using it at least once daily, but I try to use it twice daily now. I LOVE the lavender scented option so much that I'll probably never try any of the others now lol. The texture is very "whipped" but also creamy. The application goes on smooth. I use it on my face & hands. For your face, you really dont need very much at all, a little goes a long way. But using "too much" still doesnt feel super heavy or thick, but will look fairly greasy (but doesn't really "feel" greasy, if that makes sense) until fully absorbed by the skin. Which my skin absorbs it fairly quickly within an hour it no longer looks greasy. It doesn't feel sticky at all, which I LOVE. & once absorbed, my skin feels oh so soft. I do notice a slight improvement on my fine lines & wrinkles on my forehead & "crows feet" area, & have even gotten recent compliments on my face appearing to "have a glow". I can only attribute those compliments to this product!! I will be a loyal customer from here on out I assure you!! 10 stars!! Quality is worth the price for the quantity amount in my opinion considering a little goes a long way.

I’ve used this product for about a week now. I use a toner after washing and this product. The moisture lasts all day long and gives my skin a nice glow. I’m looking forward to seeing how longer term use looks. The smell is mild and nice ( light creamy citrus smell). I like the fact that it’s not factory made, contains few and natural ingredients and a good value considering a little goes a long way!

Never do I write reviews, but this one was definitely worthy. Makes your skin feel like silk, it glows! And you will get compliments. My daughter noticed a difference in my skin, so I ordered her a jar. The best thing is it's not greasy! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed

I am 49 and have been dealing with stubborn perimenopausal dry skin for years. I have bought so many creams and serums - some of them hundreds of dollars. Nothing penetrated my face for lasting relief and the dryness just kept making me look older and older. I saw a video about Tallow Balm and went down a rabbit hole looking for the best one to buy. I settled on this Hearth & Homestead Vanilla Orange. Omg, the first time I put it on my face it was like my skin drank it up. It was like my body recognized it and let it penetrate instead of sitting on top. I woke up the next morning for the first time in years without skin that was tight and uncomfortable. I couldn’t wait to use again and again. And I started using it on my elbows and knees and feet - something I would never do with my $300+ creams. Instead of Aquaphor on my lips every night, I dabbed this on them too. After weeks of using, the deep lines in my face plumped up, random pimples I used to get just stopped happening, and I felt like I found a miracle. Then my family went away for Spring break. Everyone got sunburned. I promised my husband and kids I had something that would help. I put that vanilla orange balm on all our noses, chests, shoulders, arms and legs. In a day or two the burns turned to brown and no one peeled. I f$#%ing love this stuff! After vacation, I needed to buy more but this time I decided to try the Butter Almond. I had only been using the Vanilla Orange at night because I felt it was too greasy for under makeup. My Facebook feed was now filled with Hearth & Homestead videos and this one looked promising for face. Another winner - I absolutely love it. My face just absorbs the goodness and the effects are lasting. My face doesn’t dry out by morning or by the end of the day. The butter almond is a richer matte balm that I can do as part of my morning routine before make-up. I still love the vanilla orange for my legs and body. Thank you for bringing this ancient secret of the power of Tallow Balm to modern times. I will use this stuff for the rest of my life and pass on the secrets to my children and future grandchildren. P.S. I would love a little sample gift set in the $20 range at holiday time for things like teacher gifts and gift exchanges. Something to think about?

It is smaller than expected but the consistency of the cream really impressed me and will definitely buy again!

Amazing cream. I have combination skin oily but also areas of dryness. After only one application my skin texture, appearance and dryness improve. Thus has to be the best moisturiser I have ever used. It's a beautiful consistency and did not have adverse effects on my oily areas of the skin. No breakouts or feelings of congestion. Skin feels amazing. Smells so good. I usually avoid anything scented and also have had issues with essential oils in the past but this seems to be working well for me. Each day my skin appearance and feel is better and better. Skins is left feeling so so soft and moisturised and at the same time soight as if you haven't used anything. I will also purchase the unscented one soon just to see how that compares to this one. Expensive but I absolutely love it. My search for a good moisteriser that suits me has ended. Thank you.

LOVE IT!! I love beef tallow.. liked the first one I got a lot but wanted to try a different one and this is lovely. You do only need a lil bit…I personally don’t care if it is a bit greasy as my skin is so dry now I’m oldish :( although if you do as it says (use a v am amt) you won’t be. I love that it’s fam owned made in small batches etc.. and small tho it seems it WILL last a long time, my previous one did too… cos you only need a lil bit!

This product is wonderful. When I first opened the jar, I was pleasantly surprised by the delightful fragrance of citrus and vanilla. Then applying the product was so pleasant, creamy and refreshing on my skin. It’s very different from other skin care products that I have used and I have used many. Plus it is not overly expensive like many others in this category of skincare. This is a keeper for me and I highly recommend you give it a try.

Very good I skin patched on my scalp where I always get itchy it did the job!! calm the itchy scalp. This is personal experience. This is veeeeery good The coffee smell i get from it is super 👌
