15mm Compression Straight Coupling Chrome Plumbing Pipe Fitting Thunderfix

I have used compression fittings for a long time unfortunately one of these if faulty trying to stop it dripping has proven difficult I think its the centre part at fault I'll have to use another one when I'm finish doing what I'm doing in the kitchen.

Can I connect a flexy hose straight to a compression fitting
