How can you go wrong?
It’s back to school time and who doesn’t need a decent spiral notebook. This 1 subject notebook is trendy. It is black with a blue football outlined on the front. There are 100 sheets of pretty decent paper. When I use my gel pens, it doesn’t bleed or run. Only warning is that this notebook is wide ruled. So, if you are looking for school supplies and have a student (elementary, middle and high), this notebook may be worth a look.

Great, five-star notebook, but outrageously priced at $14.99 for one notebook.
I was ready to give this a 5-star review because it's a great notebook. The light plastic cover is helpful, though I wouldn't pour water on it - the back is still cardboard. The perforation is clean without coming apart quickly. The paper is good. The front has a folder made of manila envelope material to hold loose pieces of paper. Then, I saw the listed price: $14.99. I don't normally let price get in the way of reviewing because some brands are known for being expensive and people are willing to pay for the premium label. However, this is a notebook for students in school. In what world is a 100-sheet spiral notebook $14.99??? Did Ralph Lauren brand this or something? (Not that I'd pay $14.99 for such a notebook.) Is this only for exclusive private boarding school which has a contract with one of their big donors??So, with great regret, the price is so ridiculous that I'd never buy this item, nor would I recommend it. If the price changes to a more sensible level and I find out about it, I'll change the star rating.

Quality Notebook for Sports Fans
This is a good quality all around notebook with a sports motif. My cover was the football. the notebook itself has everything you need. There is a two sided manilla folder in the front with a pocket on each side. The ruled pages are perforated for easy tearing. The three holes make it easy to place in a binder. Quality is consistently good and the cover makes it fun for sports fans of all ages.

Worth paying a bit more for, won't fall apart.
Sturdy wide-ruled spiral notebook. It has 100 pages and they aren't those light-weight sheets that you can't erase on or that will bleed if you use a gel pen or even a sharpie. I particularly like the cover. It feels like a blend between plastic and cardboard, sturdy but flexible. It also has pockets in the front with those reinforced strips to allow for frequent use and a good capacity. It's better to spend a little more on all-year quality than to have to replace in the middle of the school year, and this one is an excellent choice. To round out the package: It's made in America.

Poor value for money.
rhis Is pretty much what you’d expect from a single-subject notebook. You don’t get hung-end spiral binding or an extra thick back cover, but you do get an internal folder, a plastic front cover, and coolish art if you’re into sports balls. The problem is that this is a four dollar player in a seven dollar game. You won’t get this cooked outside of a college bookstore.

Solid but expensive
I'm good with the traditional cardboard type of cover that I find at the big box store for 20 cents each. This one has a plastic front (environmental concerns) with a variety of sports themes and a cardboard back. It has a vanilla double sided pocket in the front. It is WIDE ruled not the narrow "college ruled." So better space between lines for younger note takers. It is also wide margin (margin lines are closer to the edge) compared to the basic model. So I like it but the price makes it a "no."

great basic
My son goes through these like crazy. Four Star is my favorite brand, a bit more than some in price, but the quality is strong. The covers are thicker than most, and the spiral doesn't tangle up. Buy a dozen if you have a kid in Junior high, you'll need them!

Nice notebook that's way overpriced
Great notebook. I gave it 4 stars because I like the standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper better than this smaller size of 8 x 10 1/2. Now it doesn't match my other papers. I noticed in the store today that most of the notebooks there were the smaller size....I considered giving this less stars if price was a consideration of my evaluation. However, I'm evaluating the product, not the pricing. But it is *way* overpriced. I'd never pay $15 for this notebook. Maybe half that.I tested several different inks on the paper. The only one that bled through was the Sharpie Ultra-Fine point, but not so bad that it interfered with reading on the other side. I tried various journaling pens, colored plain and sparkle gel pens, and my favorite G2 pen.The perfs tear easily and the paper doesn't rip while removing the sheet. The paper seems strong - I snapped it a couple of times with no tears. The front cover appears durable but I would like to have seen the same durability on the back cover - that's what ends up landing on who knows what when you put the notebook down! The spiral metal is heavy duty and the ends are tucked in nicely - I don't expect they'll come untucked like they do with lighter spiral metal. Somewhere in between the usual light metal and this heavier one would probably work well and keep the cost down. The pocket page is reinforced for a couple inches along the top, also at the holes for the spiral. At this price point, I do wish there would have been a couple more pocket pages, one of them possibly with a slight accordion to it for bulkier things such as small pamphlets. It's advertised as a sports motif, the one I have is a baseball. However I'm not into sports and this doesn't really look like a baseball to me - it makes me think of two vines on the cover, which is great!
