Sportixx Chain Keeper | Bicycle Tool for Cleaning & Repairing on a Bike Workstand

Great for keeping tension on the chain without the back wheel installed. I mainly use it during thorough washes of my bike to allow for degreasing and lubing without contaminating the rear wheel and brakes. I don’t often use spray lubricant, but might now that I have this and don’t have to worry about overspray. It fits nicely into my rear wheel quick release dropout, unfortunately all my bikes are slightly different sizes so I have to adjust every time but that is a very minor complaint that is not the fault of the device.

I used this Sportixx Chain Keeper for the first time today. Until I saw a Youtube video on someone using one, I never knew this existed. It was time to degrease, clean, lube my chain, and derailer anyway, so I went ahead and purchased one. It arrived the other day, but today was the first chance I had to use it. I'll just say that it worked flawlessly!! Once I removed my rear wheel, I installed this chain keeper and put my chain on it. The flywheel is not stationary, as it can move back and forth, making it super easy to use with any bike. I'm sure glad I found this item!! It makes life so much easier trying to clean the cassette, derailer, and chain!! Oh, I forgot to mention that it is much less than one name brand chain keeper.

I didn't know such a thing existed until a couple of weeks ago and I'm very glad I ran across it. I bought this one because it seemed to work like a regular gear cassette, you can change gears and it will move if it needs to. That may not be necessary, but it seems like a good idea, not all of them do that.This saved me a lot of trouble cleaning and messing around without the rear wheel in place. Easily worth the money, if you do any such bike work at all it's hard to get a more trouble saving bike tool.

Delivered quickly and as-described product...simple phrase, but not always that easy to accomplish. I've been thinking of a chain keeper for awhile as I have several bikes that I ride and maintain. I always hated when I'd get to my back wheel and have to remove it. I tried all kinds of ways to clear the chain as I would work on my cassette or derailler. Finally broke down and bought a chain keeper. Chose Sportixx and I am sure glad I did. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, is simple to use and very well made of quality materials. Even better, it arrived days after I purchased it on Amazon. Well done Sportixx.

I have a 12mm through axle, so all I needed to do was take the plastic wheel off, and then put it on my bike’s axle. So I don’t know how well it works with the rest of it clamped in a dropout.Works great. The chain runs smoothly on the wheel, and the wheel floats as you shift the derailleur. It’s great for cleaning the chain and washing the bike with the wheels removed so you can access every part more easily.

Can't see why you would spend more on the "blue" brand. But I am beginning to realize that is the case with most bike maintenance needs. This works great as it should, considering how few parts this thing has. A+. The ability to slide the pulley from side to side for gear shifts on this thing should come with all chain keepers.

My biggest concern was to be able to oil my chain without getting overspray on my wheel. With this chain keeper I can put the bike on a stand and replace the wheel with the chain keeper. Now I can easily turn the crank, quickly lubricating the chain. It is also easy to change gears with the chain keeper in place.

This is a must have tool. It makes cleaning your bike easier and it's simple to use. Take the tire off and uses it to hold and clean your chain or to hold the chain in place while cleaning your bike. work way better than a tire stem, which always seam to fall off. The Sportixx Chain Keeper locks in and holds the chain and the little wheel that hold the chain will move in and out it you turn the peddles and run it thought different gears. You'll love it, because it make life easier and it cost less than the other brand.
