ARC International H6480 Luminarc Pub Beer Glass, 16-Ounce, Set of 4

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring here as a 5-star review. No, these glasses aren't perfect, but they definitely aren't the super cheap stuff you find at Target, though. I was looking for something large, with a heft to the glass that wouldn't shatter the moment something else in the sink knocked into them. I've had these for about a year now and I haven't broken a single one. Granted, with each box of 20, you'll find the odd scratch here or there, but for the price, hell, I'd buy 2 boxes and just weed out the bad ones if you really care that much. They still shine up nicely when I run them through the dishwasher, and although my wife wanted something that looked a little fancier, I am happier with these because they hold up and feel solid. They're basically your standard pub drinking glass. I'm giving five stars for the value for money, and the quality, IMO, more than matches the price. Very few imperfections and a solid weight to them.

These are very good quality glasses. Quite heavy. Despite being wide at the top they do not feel tippy. Dishwasher safe. I use them every day. I would buy them again. One of my glasses arrived broken because they weren't packaged very well. I initiated a return with the seller. They immediately sent out a replacement that was packed very well and they quickly arrived intact. I like that these are U.S. made.

These are heavy, well made glasses. We have tried several glasses, but they always seem to break easily. We had two sets of 12 and were down to a handful between the two, so we decided to look for some new glasses to replace them. These "beer" glasses are excellent to use for just every day, like a glass of ice water or tea. We bought two sets of these, and now we have plenty for when we have guests over for dinner. We got rid of all our old glasses. I knocked one of these over on our granite island, and to my surprise it didn't even chip. No chip, no crack, nothing. I'm sure it would break if you dropped it on a tile floor, but these glasses are very crack and chip resistant from a porcelain sink or a granite counter top. They're just perfect for every day use. We love them. UPDATE 6/12/15: I've knocked several of these glasses over on our granite counter top and in the ceramic cast iron sink and they have not chipped or cracked at all. They're VERY sturdy. I'm sure they would break from a fall from higher up, but just knocking them over in the sink didn't didn't. VERY happy with these glasses so far!

Nice pub glass that is perfect for a 12 oz drink with ice. This seems like a pretty standard size as they matched my existing glasses perfectly. The glass is clear and consistent and the weight feels right. They also came packed really well. The only issue I have with them is they have a sticker on the bottom that is difficult to remove. Super annoying.

I was looking for a sturdy, large glass tumbler which would stand up to everyday use. The tumbler had to be wide enough to get a hand in with a rag to clean (we have large hands) and not prone to chipping along the edge. It had to be resilient enough not to break or chip with normal use and washing (I have a teenager who helps with the dishes). The tumblers had to be dishwasher safe and nice enough to use for all occasions. These met all my criteria. An added plus is that they are also stackable and can be stored compactly by alternating upside-down to -up in the cabinet. They resist breakage and I haven't had one chip yet (3 years use), though rough handling has broken one or two. I would consider these "restaurant quality" and a smart investment for the money.

Why you'll love this: These are similar to any type of normal pub glasses you would find in an american bar or restaurant. I've dropped one and it seems to be very sturdy. I've also rinsed them in water and chilled in the freezer for a nice icy glass for cocktails and haven't had an issue with cracking. There have been a few reviews that have mentioned uneven lips or bottoms, but my set seems to be pretty perfect. These glasses work well for water, juice, beer, or cocktails served in a tall glass (daiquiris, long islands, or, my favorite, mint juleps.). Give these out to guests or use in the event you don't want to risk breaking something fancier. Why you won't love this: As I mentioned, these aren't the most fanciest glasses out there. Recently, I've read an article where it said this style pint glass is the worst invention for beer drinkers given it's lack of an agitator or bulb for producing aromas. I'm sure if you stick to the typical American Adjunct lagers (i.e. the cheap stuff) this will do you fine. If you're looking for something that will compliment more craft beers, I would suggest going with an imperial pint glass which is designed to produce better aromas for the beer.

I needed a new set of glasses to use. We have use these multiple times, and they have not scratched or shown any major signs of wear and tear. I laser etched some of them to personalize for my own use. They held up great to the laser. I never thought that I could find a set of glasses. I love you so much until I found these.

Reviewing a year after buying -- I'm not hard on my glassware, and often have glasses for many years, but these chipped easily, and all i bought are now gone. I'll try another brand next time.

De gran calidad, son bastante gruesos, también son parejos en su forma, no noté más que una pequeña imperfección, el paquete llegó bien protegido y los vasos sin ningún rasguño, son ideales para tomar cerveza en esos días de calor. Recomendables.

These glasses are great! They're a good size, they hold up equally well with cold and hot drinks, and they're reasonably difficult to tip over. I'm a big fan of the thick glass and simplistic look.
