cable box RF tuner, composite video, VGA pass-through
This seems to be the only converter of its type still on the market, and it works! I have VGA output from my camera system plugged into this box, and coax from my cable set-top box (connected via the included adapter). Turn on this box and it displays cable TV. Turn it off and it displays the cameras. Simple. The VGA output isn't HD (duh!) but it looks pretty good on a kitchen-size VGA monitor.Telling this box to scan for the RF signal frequency wasn't clear in the manual, but it appears the "ANT IN NO LONGER SUPPORTED" note is because this box will only find and tune to TWO CHANNELS. So if your cable box can output channel 3 or 4, you're set.

The power adapter was defective
Worked fine after I changed the power adapter.

Not as advertized
I bought it to be a NTSC antenna tuner. Only to find out that it arrived speaking Chinese and the antenna NTSC function was not available. A little bit of information buried way down in the manual. The product is not returnable thru Amazon. There is also not way to contact the manufacturer.

Arachnid Top Gun Challenge Fix
I purchased a Arachnid Top Gun Challenge arcade dartboard cheap it was missing the monitor. So I decided to find a cheaper solution for a replacement monitor. So I purchased this and picked up a cheap LCD at a thrift store what do you know it works great. The monitor is a little larger than the original but works like a dream. Anyone who wants to do this the dartboard output is a single AV not RF.

Didn't work with my classic computer RF
I bought this to use with my Commodore 64, RF out, connected to a VGA monitor. It simply doesn't work. RF out works fine to a tube TV, so it's not the system. I suspect it's because it supports the new "digital" RF-only, but that wasn't mentioned anywhere. It does seem to work, but not as-advertised and it was non-refundable so now I'm stuck with a useless $60 paperweight. The menus also default to Chinese, which is inconvenient but not that big a deal. The manual at least got me to where I could change to English it's been fine from there.

Colecovision
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this device to connect my Colecovision console to an old 4:3 ratio Sony LCD monitor using Radio Frequency to VGA. I also bought an external speaker powered by a USB port with a 2.5” audio jack for the audio output. Initially, the setup resulted in a black and white visual output on the monitor and no sound. However, after switching from PAL to NTSC mode and making a slight adjustment to the audio output setting, the device functioned perfectly. Now, both the visual and audio outputs are crystal clear. I highly recommend this device to anyone setting up an older system from the early 1980s, such as Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Intellivision I and II, Magnivox Odyssey II, Colecovision, and so on, via RF to VGA. Additionally, the remote control is very convenient for adjusting volume and other settings, and it even includes a locking feature to prevent accidental changes.
