Update: tonight my son was watching TV when he screamed for me to come to his room. His TV had lost power and this power adapter was smoking 🔥🔥🔥 If I had not been there to unplug it who knows what could have happened. After looking at reviews I see I'm not the first person this has happened to. BUYER BEWARE!!I found a 2017 Sony XBR-43X800E at a Goodwill Bins on Sunday for $5 and took a gamble on it. I could not find a replacement power cable for under $60 but this one met all the spec requirements so I took a chance on this as well and it works perfectly. The TV turned on as soon as I plugged it in and is functioning perfect now!! I just wanted to share this in case anyone else has the same model and is considering buying this!

Sooooo... I am so glad that I bought this replacement power cord!! So, we bought a Sony TV a while back, and something happened to it, and we couldn't turn the TV on. Which was a bummer! And we weren't sure what the problem was. So, I went with my gut and bought a power cord. When it arrived, I was surprised that the quality was very nice, it looked a little different from the original TV power cord, which is why I was surprised, but it was really good quality! So, when we connected it to the TV it worked!!!!! And I was so glad to have bought it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I was searching everywhere and couldn’t find this until I came on Amazon , it worked great and I have not had to replace it.

We just moved into a new place almost two weeks ago and I was a bit devastated when we couldn't find our cord to our Sony tv. I know it was somewhere in the storage but we need it right away so my Mom can watch tv while I'm at work. I was so happy when I saw the cord on Amazon and ordered it immediately. We received it right away so now my Mom is enjoying watching her favorite shows. I was so glad that it was still available since the tv was purchased in 2014. Thank you.

Just came here to check if I could get a replacement or a refund. I think I bought this in 2023 for a sony 2015 or 2015 tv. We have been watching TV today and the TV kept turning itself on and off by itself. I told my boyfriend to check the cord and the adapter had melted and was smoking and almost caught on fire. I saw another review saying the same thing about this product saying that it started smoking or melted and almost caught on fire in their son's room. I see that you can no longer buy this product on amazon which is probably a good thing.
