Best for the Money, works well, uses low power, we are buying a 2nd
Had the 45 qt for a month, use it about 2-3 days/week, use it for our farmer's market booth. worked well as a freezer OR a refrigerator, easy to transport our food by car and transfer to battery at the booth, with very little temp loss. The temp does fluctuate, but for cooling or freezing we've seen little affect on the items inside. Cools to fridge, +36 degrees in about 30-40 minutes, cools to freezer from room temp (85 degrees) to -2 (measured) in 90 minutes, cools to +4 degrees in about 60 minutes from our hot townhouse. Stays cold once running in the car and in the sun of the day (about 2 hours until the shade hit). Everything frozen remained frozen all day. Since we run it on battery, one of the best parts is if you use the car adapter, it only uses about 41w, so on our 1800wH battery with 2 car adapter plugs, it can run for about 40 hours (and with our solar panel, indefinitely, so if you buy a battery get a solar panel of 100 or more watts). About 50-60w on the house plug (my guess is the loss from the brick). And those numbers are for fridge or freezer, max cool, while cooling down too. "eco" cool is less but it allows the unit to fluctuate temp more, we've seen it on 'eco' at about 30-35w, and everything was cold or frozen and just fine. Also has some kind of battery strain protection if in an RV or car for an extended period and senses energy loss, but that issue hasn't come up for us, see we don't have experience with it. Weight and size, my wife 5'2", 110 pounds can carry it from car to house almost full (not of liquid). Handles are sturdy feeling, a stronger person can carry it full of drinks, and medium person can get it out of the car no problem full of drinks. My wife again, when full of frozen items carried it from back of SUV into house from garage. We are here today on Amazon to buy a 2nd one, because at our booth in NorCal we are adding frozen and cold items, so we need another one, and its well worth the money, the next level of quality up is more than $100 more, and 1/3 the size down on only $20 less. Lid has a latch that keeps it from bouncing open, and shuts tightly, there's a light inside, seems sturdy and well made exterior, but we are careful just in case not to bang it around too much. Lid also has a chain that keeps the lid from flopping over, and a thick top, and seal for cooling. Numbers on front easy to read and adjust as necessary. Comes with car adapter and house plug, and both cords are fairly long, so plugging into car from the very back to the only point up front or on battery later we get lots of options to place it. Its really nice when something works well, and so far this works well. In a quiet house, you can hear the unit click on and run a little, but its been 80-100 degrees here last week and we have no A/C right now. Lastly, it arrived one day ahead of the estimate in a thick sturdy box with lots of Styrofoam and arrived spotlessly from delivery. I think its a great camping cooler (its 100% coming on our next camping trip), car cooler, small market cooler, RV cooler, and even inexpensive, low power extra cooler for drinks at home (like for us right now) while its hot.

Not true dual-zone, but a good car fridge.
The small section is smaller than I expected, since it doesn't go all the way to the bottom. Also, you can't control the temperature of the small section individually, so I wouldn't consider it true dual-zone. The smaller section doesn't get quite as cold as the large section, so that's how it can be a freezer and a refrigerator at the same time. Other than that, the it works well so far and does get cold. The temperature varies a little bit, but not much, except when the cover is opened. All in all, I like and am looking forward to using it on a 3-day trip coming up.

No customer service at all
I have tried several times to email call apicool support. No response from email at all! Phone number on website only has busy signal then hangs up. Has 3 year warranty, but if you cannot get in touch with anyone warranty is useless.. I have two of ther 12 volt fridges the first I bought a couple years ago a 55qt and it has worked flawlessly The second I bought a 45 quart this june have had a hard time maintaining set temperature now it has F2 code. And cannot get help to resolve the issue. My money will be going a different direction on another fridge

DO NOT BUY
Thanks for locking the fridge requiring an app to unlock it so that the control buttons work. Except three phones and all the Alpicool apps don't work and won't connect. So product is literally useless since you can't turn it on or off and set temps. Nice work, let's make it smart so that way it doesn't work by default with the buttons that are on the device. Best part is I own an older version which works flawless. Yeah I'd love to fill this with food, set out on an adventure, have it lose its stupid Bluetooth app mind, and kill my trip. Big L on this one!
