I started running about 9 months ago. I did a 5k after 3 months training then a 10k after another 2 months training. The big push was for a half marathon which I just finished after a total of 9 months running training. I didn't win but I didn't expect to :) I did complete and in no small part that was thanks to this lovely product. I had been running for almost 7 months before I needed it. That is when I hit 9 miles for the first time. I learned there was a bit difference between 8 miles and 9 miles. Who knew. At the end of that run I felt fine, then I took my shoe off and saw my sock was bloody. Turns out I didn't clip my nails close enough. Not a mistake I ever made again. The shock of that bloody sock made me miss the next issue. As that shock and the happy brain chemicals from running wore off I noticed some significant discomfort in several key areas of my flesh. Yep, bad chafing :( I spent the rest of the day researching why my toes were bloody and so much of my skin was rubbed raw. Glide seemed to be the answer and I ordered it. I ran with Glide in 99 degree desert heat for 11 miles. Felt great. I ran with Glide in the VA Beach Rock n Roll half with 90 degree heat and so much humidity that my fingers got pruney due to lack of evaporation. I didn't feel great but I didn't have any chafing so the Glide worked. The product goes on different than I expected. It is smooth to apply but almost feels tacky like a soft wax.I guess I was expecting something more like deodorant or maybe some kind of slick lube like texture. When I first tried it I was nervous it wouldn't really work. I tested on a couple short runs before I did a 10 miler. From what I can tell the glide starts working when you start sweating. This makes it slippery and it cuts down on friction of repetitive motion significantly. I haven't had any chafing at all since I started using it. It does wash off easily, so I believe the reviews that say it won't hold up for a triathlon. I can't speak to that but for a half marathon in some wicked humidity it will work wonderfully. In short, if you are a runner I highly recommend coating pretty much anything that might rub against anything else with this. It is well priced and seems to last and last. I've been doing 5 runs a week for 20-30 miles a week for a couple months and I have about half the container left.

Love this stuff! Literally put it on daily so my thighs don't chafe. Living in the brutal heat of Southern Arizona, you sweat like there is no tomorrow during the summer months. 110° degree heat and it being dry as hell will do that to you. I used to use powder to help with the chafing, but that pursuit got clumpy, messy, and gross damn quick. I was looking for an alternative when my younger sister recommended Body Glide to me. I haven't looked back. It genuinely works that good. It looks like a small stick of deodorant, but has no scent and feels like a slippery stick of wax. Without the grip that wax can hold and the stickiness of it. You just pop the cover, adjust the length and apply. A normal sized tube of this stuff will usually last me several months. While you could just apply it super liberally, you will be in for a slippery good time as I discovered after trying it the first time. A few strokes applied in whatever area you need glass like smoothness on, goes a long long way. This stuff also lasts me all day. Definitely a MUST BUY!

With all the heat and humidity it was causing me to itch underneath Deeeez. Great product this put an end to that right away.

What can I say, I have no thigh gap. My thighs rub together constantly as I walk (TMI). This is not a problem most of the time, but if it is a longer walk or hiking where I may sweat a bunch or if I will be walking while wet (ie. waterpark, day at the pool, or at the lake), then it becomes a huge problem. The constant rubbing while wet or damp from sweat leads to chaffing, rashes, and eventually to skin tags forming. These rashes can get so bad that the skin is inflamed and burning and I can barely walk. I am a large (330lb, 6ft4in), active male who loves to hike and exercise. Nobody talks about this so I thought I was the only one who had this problem. This body glide works like magic. It goes on like a stick deodorant or antiperspirant. I rub it liberally all over on my inner thighs in the morning before the activities. It adds a invisible layer of protection and my skin doesn't get irritated. This has revolutionized my activities. I recommend Body Glide to everyone who suffers the same as me. To make it even better, I will spray some Goldbond powder after putting on the Body Glide. I have never gotten another rash while following this regimen. One downside, the product is a little expensive though each container does last a while. I find it worth the extra cost to be rash free.

[7/7/14] NEW UPDATE: I keep going back and fourth on this one... I've discovered if you apply a VERY generous amount, it seems to work fine. This does make it annoying to clean, but it is worth it! After this many updates, I'm going to a four star. Would give a five star IF the stick was bigger or I didn't have to apply so much per use. Hopefully this is my last edit. END UPDATE In the interest of fairness I will keep my original review below. I have used this product for a few weeks now, and have unfortunately had to stop using it. I had been getting very itchy and occasional rashes in areas where I applied this product. One HUGE concern is that I also tried to use it to prevent my chest strap HR monitor from rubbing into my skin, and it worked the exact opposite. The monitor sliced my skin open and I had to apply Liquid Bandages for days to heal it. I can no longer, in good faith, recommend this product. In fairness, however, it may be a skin issue, not a product issue. (Original Product Review) This product solved a pretty large problem with me. I am a bigger guy and running often results in chafing and occasional clumps of extremely painful hair. When I say extremely painful, I mean they are in very sensitive places and I nearly cry ripping them out--which is a lot coming from a big dude. This product stopped that. I apply it very generously. I previously used Vaseline, but occasionally that made hair clumps even more painful, so I tried this product. I am very happy, and will order it again. I would recommend this product to anybody who runs, or even walks and has to deal with chafing problems. One more note, athletic underwear (like Under Armour or Nike Pro) helps with chafing, but this is the first product that completely eliminated it for me.

Great for minimizing chafing of course. But I use it for an unusual reason. I have orthotic inserts in my shoes. They make the shoes squeak when I walk. If I apply some of this Glide to the plastic edges of the orthotics before I insert them it prevents the squeaking. This works for a couple of weeks at least. So, good product.

I work in a distribution center for 11-hour days. Because of hard work, chafing became an issue quickly, especially in the summer. Nothing can make a job more unbearable than having constant pain with every movement you make. So, the search for a fix started. I originally bought the product at a local sports store because I wanted a solid product more than any type of cream. First, this product isn't for treating chafing. If you already have issues, use products like body powders and large bandaids to get the skin back to normal. Then, IMMEDIATELY starting using this product! It goes on like a stick of deodorant without leaving a sticky or uncomfortable feeling. It also doesn't leave and color or stiffness on clothes after use. Smells aren't an issue either. Body Glide protects me all day long and keeps me from having painful chafing issues. It has been nothing short of amazing for my problems. It is a bit expensive (about $15 for a stick the size of a normal stick of deodorant) but is worth every singles penny. Like any other type of pain such as back or foot pain, price isn't much of an issue for a product that solves or prevents any more pain. While I am not an avid runner, cyclist, etc., I would imagine this product could do wonders for those areas that go through a lot rubbing. I now buy the product on Amazon because the price seems to be about the same no matter where I purchase it. I already buy a lot from Amazon so it only makes sense for me.

never reviewed this the first time I bought it, but it worked great then too i wanna actually review it because I bought this stuff in 2019, used it while I needed it, then left it in a bathroom cabinet recently needed it again, remembered I still have it, still works like a charm get this stuff it will not lead you astray

Estaba buscando algo para evitar las rozaduras al ir a la playa o al usar falta ya que mis muslos rozan uno con el otro y termino muy adolorida, ya para el tercer día en la playa es muy incómodo. Vi esta recomendación en Tiktok y corrí a buscarlo. Vale cada centavo, adiós rozaduras, adiós incomodidad. Lo uso una vez al día después de bañarme y secarme cuando voy a usar falda o cuando voy a nadar o a la playa y no saben la diferencia y lo bien que me funciona. Mi piel no es delicada así que realmente no tiene ninguna afectación cuando lo uso. Lo recomiendo.
