Great strong hair tie for thick heavy hair. I love it when I can find natural products that actually work and can compete with popular brands

I wanted try Terra Ties because they are biodegradable and I DO see them on the ground all the time. But now that I’ve tried them, I like them for other reasons, too. First of all they are SO soft. They just feel nicer than other hair ties I’ve used. They stay in my hair better too, even when I exercise — and my hair is pretty thick. But even though they hold better on my hair, they didn’t break my hair (yay!) or make my scalp hurt from pulling too hard. And when I put them on my wrist they’re not too tight. They seem pretty strong too. I’ve had other hair ties break, but these didn’t break OR stretch out when I pulled on them (just to see, haha). So happy with these!

These hair ties are a little bigger than I expected (in terms of loop size) but they’re sturdy and get the job done.

Over the past 4 months, haven't had one tie break or the fabric even rip so far. They have gotten a bit stretched out but still completely usable. Only ones gone I lost, so I'm very happy with these. Honestly I have only used the cheap ones you can get a bunch of before, so perhaps I'm a bad judge, but I would recommend these. Originally bought them because supposed to be biodegradable, hope they actually are.

I've reused the first one out of the package since I received these so durability is solid, and I have been very pleased with how they have performed holding hair and not pulling out hair when being removed. The seam is a touch on the rough side, but that is not atypical for most hairbands. I love that these are not plastic based and that they can perform at the level expected.

I have medium thickness hair, but I think they would be great with thick hair too. Thin hair they might be too big. Love that these are environmentally friendly, or more so than the cheapy ones that fall apart constantly. They hold my hair up really well without being super tight and causing headaches. I have purchased these a few times and will continue to do so.

Work well. Have good stretch to them. Strong rubber smell but eventually airs out.

LOVE these hair ties!! Even better than Goody hair ties that would always break when I used them. I love how they’re biodegradable and have a plumper look than my previous hair ties- feels nice and looks more lux.

Very durable. Not super soft or super stretchy, but honestly really good considering they are biodegradable. The softness/stretch is not at all inhibitive to the function. I've been using them fairly agressively for the last year, and I've only managed to break one that I used exclusively for about three months straight.

I have waist length very thick hair and this is the only elastic that I’ve tried that is strong enough to keep my ponytail from sagging down. The elastic will stretch over time, but they have never snapped on me after months of using the same one. I bought this a year ago and I’ve only used about 5 of them so far. When I used to buy drugstore brand elastics they’d last a week or less before snapping or stretching to the point that I couldn’t use them any longer. I like these elastics so much that I bought a second package for my long-haired friend.

I love that these are biodegradable and organic -- which explains the price. However, I wish they were more durable. I have fine hair so I have to wrap each of these ties around my ponytail three times to hold everything in place, and after a week or so of daily use, they stretch out. None have broken yet, as I switch out to the next one whenever one stretches; however, I expect that if I were to continue using them *after* they have begun to stretch out, they are not too far from snapping entirely. Now, this does not matter too much in terms of waste, as they are not plastic-based and will break down over time (even if that does take many, many years), but in terms of my *pockets*, this means I will be forking out for more hair ties probably sooner than I would otherwise. These aren't exactly cheap, so that doesn't appeal to me much; however, it's a sacrifice I am willing to make to be eco-friendly!

I love these hair elastics! They last longer than any other hair elastics I have ever tried, which I found surprising because they are biodegradable! Would definitely repurchase and recommend.
