Exactly What We Wanted!
First things first, I will mention that this box is very thin, and as a precious reviewer mentioned, Little Nutbrown Hare doesn’t return to the box easily. It may be a toy, but it should be handled with care. In my house we have a rule that the kids (4,3, and 9months) each get one Christmas gift from Santa, and that particular gift has to be something that an elf could make in the toy shop. This Jack-in-the-box was what Santa gave our baby for her first Christmas, and it ended up being a favorite in our house for all of the kids. The Little rabbit is nice and soft and the images on the box are beautiful, just like the sweet book it’s based off of. It’s a BIT difficult to make sure the latch that holds the box closed is in the right position to keep the spring from popping it open too early, but not rocket science. The kids need help with it, and we just have to keep it out of their reach when they’re not supervised so that it can remain a treasured item. The jingle is the standard “Pop Goes the Weasel” that is so often associated with the Jack-in-the-box, and its soft but I didn’t notice any issue with tune quality. Anyway this was everything we wanted it to be and I would recommend it if you’re looking for a gift for a new parent or grandparent, a family Easter keepsake, a book for fans of classic children’s literature, or as a special gift for kids 💚

Super cute rather this than a creepy clown popping up
My LO is almost one purchased for her birthday. But have showered it to her a few times already and she lights up eagerly awaiting the rabbit to pop out then she tries to help me stuff him back in and I let her close the lid and she claps to have him wound up to come out again. Very cute keep sake for kids to pass on to their own children. The box is made of tin and the rabbit is cute and very soft.
