I decided to go for it and ordered them. They arrived Tuesday and I wore them around the house for about an hour to make sure they were comfortable enough. They were, so I was sure I was keeping them. The following day we needed to go shopping, so I put my new sandals on and off we went. After walking through Aldi, Walmart and Lowes....which under normal circumstances, my other sandals would really be bothering my feet...these Plaka sandals were so comfortable, I forgot I was even wearing shoes! This has never happened with any sandals I've ever owned. I'll definitely be buying another pair in a different color. I have a thin foot, so they fit me like a dream. But the straps might be tight on a different type of foot. I walked over 2 miles in them in a mountain town. I would not recommend doing that as my feet slipped on the shoe base a bit but on flat surfaces they are perfectly fine. They are flat soled so no arch support but I don’t need this. The dye on the soles transferred to my feet and gave me black heels-I do put lotion on my dry heels so I’m sure that promoted the dye transfer. I wear a 10 in some dress shoes but definitely needed the 11 in these and they were not at all big/loose on me so I’d say these run small.
