It takes a day or so of leaving it alone in the place I set it up after seeing/hearing signs of a rat, but it has faithfully done it's job! I've reused these traps and appreciate that it's not disposable. I just have to clean out the food insert and wipe it out with a disinfectant cloth. It's easy to set and it's wide base is sturdy to place on flat surfaces or up on a shelf without worry it will be moved. I would recommend this trap for quick and painless eradication of a rat (not a mouse. It's a bit much for a small mouse).

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will it catch voles ?**
A: If they’re as big and heavy as a rat and you put the right bait in the tube, I don’t see why not. Rats seem to love peanut butter, so that’s what I used to get them. I have no idea what to use for voles, but it would have to have a scent to make them want to go in to get it.

**Q: How wide and tall is the entrance hole?**
A: 2" x 2", but don't worry, this trap will kill a 1-2 lb rat.  They can compress themselves to fit into tight spaces, so the opening is sufficient.  If you have larger rats, better get a tomcat!

**Q: Can this be used outside**
A: We used it in our garage.  I wouldn’t leave it outside during heavy rains or for months on end but for a few nights to catch a few problematic rats, it should be fine.

**Q: Do the instructions come in Spanish and in English?**
A: Just use Google

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not good for big rats

Worked fine for small rats, though you gonna need to be careful with the quick release mechanism, one of the traps caught two small rats at once, but when I tried to clean it up one of the rats was still alive and jumped on me! Pros: 1- Quick setup. 2- Pet Safe Cons: 1- the opening is small, won't catch big rats 2- the claw traps small-medium size rats and won't kill them so be careful when emptying the trap. 3- very light weight and strong rain/wind might below it up 4- I used it twice and so far it is holding good, will update this review soon. Overall: Quick and easy to setup, but not effective for big rats and the release mechanism is weird.
