TruSkin SPF 30 Tinted Mineral Sunscreen Face Serum, Zinc Oxide, 1 fl oz

I have very pale skin, and so I'm always worried about tinted products looking too orange on me, even in the palest, sheerest shades. This one was no exception, but I am seriously allergic to SPF and I couldn't find any mineral sunblock that worked under my Typology tinted serum, and mineral spray on mists left a white cast OVER my tinted serum. I finally used Google's AI to source reviews for lightweight mineral sunscreen that worked well under make up and this was the top suggestion. I read the reviews of all the products, and this one came in as the winner, hands down, no question. So, despite my reservations, I ordered it. First, it's very lightweight and sheer. If it casts any kind of tint on my skin, I cannot see it. I tried it using one pump and another day using two pumps, and my skin looked the same both times. With the amount I need cover my face evenly, one pump is the right amount for me. My tinted serum sits perfectly on top, and my skin doesn't come out orange. This did have an unexpected dewy result. My skin is happy and hydrated normally, and my tinted serum keeps that beautiful dewy glow pretty well, but does reduce it a little, but this under it was like BAM, a little dewier than my natural skin after my skincare routine. I actually had to use a translucent powder to reduce the shine in a couple of places, like the sides of my nostrils and my chin. I love that it doesn't mattify my skin, because my natural skin without makeup doesn't sit with a satin finish. I have seriously sensitive skin and I was worried it would burn like most products do, but it doesn't. It's also not heavy, and my real skin comes through beautifully. I'm a fan of the product and I really hope they don't ruin it and change the formula, because this one works.

This was my first time purchasing a sunscreen serum for the face. I am just beginning consistent skincare routine at 35 years old, and I never realized how important SPF is. Ive done alot of research. So I got this brand. It's slightly tinted in color but it does not go on white. Its kind of like a natural beige color and it doesn't change the color of your skin. I like the fact that it's NOT greasy. It goes right into your skin like a regular moisturizer. And then I apply my makeup primer on top of it and do a full face makeup No problem. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for this SPF sunscreen serum one pump does the job if you're gonna cover your neck too. Then two pumps you'll need.

A few days into using this daily and I have a lot of good things to say — with just one small packaging wish. The Formula Speaks for Itself This is genuinely one of the better mineral SPF serums I've tried. The universal tint takes care of the white cast problem that puts so many people off zinc oxide sunscreens, and the finish is sheer and lightweight enough for everyday wear. The added skincare ingredients — Vitamin C, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides — actually make a noticeable difference over time. Skin looks brighter and more even with consistent use. Layers perfectly under makeup too. My Only Suggestion The bottle has a pump lock system which works perfectly fine. However, there's no cap or cover over the nozzle, and over time the pump area can get a little messy with product residue. It's nothing major, but a small cap or cover would make this feel much more premium and keep things tidy. Seems like an easy fix for TruSkin to consider for future packaging. Would I Recommend It? Absolutely. The formula is the star of the show here and it delivers on its promises. The packaging note is a minor quality-of-life suggestion rather than a dealbreaker. A small tweak to the design and this would be a perfect 5-star product.

It goes on smooth and doesn’t have an orange undertone like other tinted sunscreens. It is a tad greasy but I just put a bit of powder over to set it. The pump has a locking feature which is nice so It doesn’t accidentally squirt inside my drawer or when I travel. Will purchase again!

Just received yesterday and used today for the first time. It has a nice feel to it, not greasy, sticky or heavy. I was also impressed with the packaging. The outer product box was encased in plastic and the bottle of serum, in addition to the pump-top being in the locked position, was also fully shrink-wrapped in plastic so that it arrived to my door in perfect condition!

Wanted to love this SO bad !!! It felt smooth, light and had a slight tint that blended well into my skin. I used it for about 6 days and had two forehead breakouts, one of which was a huge, quarter size blind/nodular pimple that looked like I had hit my head on something. When that blind/nodular pimple came through, I had a feeling I may be reacting to the new spf but truly loved it so much that I continued. Two days later another breakout right next to it popped up, so I stopped using the spf, focused on repairing my skin barrier and have had no new breakouts.

Picking the right tinted sunscreen was a dream and a long journey for me. I wanted to have foundation-like look, but yet less layers of makeup over my face. I get sunburned easily, and am very sensitive to makeup/ sunscreen heaviness, can't stand the "mask" feeling and stickiness. And yes, I'm lazy. I tried several products but nothing clicked until this one. It got pros and cons to me, but overall I love it. Pros: 1. I usually apply it over toner and moisturizing cream. No serum as it's already in the product. Love that - one layer less! 2. At first it feels a little sticky to me, but absorbs quickly and blends as stated by the manufacturer. 3. I love the fact it's a mineral sunscreen as I personally prefer it over chemical. 4. Sunscreen passed the sunny weather test for me, I stayed protected for couple of hours - no sunburns ✅ 5. It feels lightweight, yet provides just enough coverage. It makes my pores and blackheads less visible. And the tint is a perfect color. So foundation-like look achieved ✅ 6. Also I'm inci decoding maniac. I decoded those Ingredients, and found no yucky ones like parfumes, chemicals, etc. Only goodness to nourish and protect my skin. Love that ✅ Cons: 1. Each couple of hours sunscreen needs to be reapplied. This one has conflicting information on the manufacturer website that says this product can be only used once a day, while directions on the bottle suggest to reapply. 2. So for now I use it as a light foundation or if I plan to be outside for less than 2 hours.

I’m so picky but since I was going to Greece for a month I felt that I needed a descent spf/tinted moisturizer. I hadn’t recently purchased anything tinted that I truly liked. I picked up something here and there from TJMAXX or Marshals, okay like Gwynn Paltrow products and actually the tints were not great but acceptable. They usually sell those “off-colors”. I do have an alabaster shade skin tone, have been told several times that I have a beautiful complexion or told to “Get Out of that Sun, you’re much too light for this Sun!” For some reason I make it work with a bit of blush and powder when I start to sweat. After a few uses it usually goes out the window, and that’s a lot of product I see when i open that window and look down at my past. I go for bike rides to the beach here in Florida so I did use a really good quality spf product but it felt too heavy so my boyfriend has it now and Loves it. Anyway, I have been using TruSkin products probably over a year now, that’s after using IMAGE skincare products from 2024-25. I sincerely must convey to you that in 2 months I’ll be 69 and girls my age and older are wondering why I have such good skin. I eat avocado, hummus, Brussel sprouts, fruit and occasionally treat myself to shredded wheat. I love unprocessed foods like cheese, Greek yogurt, etc. I’ll even pick up canned sardines and douse it with lemon. Please try to eat as minimally processed foods as possible. That’s MORE than half the battle!! Now we come to this TruSkin spf that is tinted because Picky me realizes that you need to spend your well earned money on good food and you don’t need to spend your well earned money on skincare. I hope you can get to the point where you say to yourself “that Mac burger is really gross and I’m so happy I haven’t had one since 1999.” Thank you Nico for feeding me homemade Greek food after I got home from a hard day at work and even on weekends!! You’re gone now but I appreciate and will always be grateful!! TruSkin is a good product and I use daily, just after clearing my sleep with Micellular water. No other prep is necessary. Just warm between your fingers and apply. A little “dandelion” Benefit blush and a little lipstick/gloss and you’re done. Don’t think too much about it because You Are Beautiful 🌹 Good Lick.
