Sony OLED refined and perfected
In comparison to its predecessor, the A80J, the Bravia 8 II presents a significant evolution in Sony’s OLED technology. While not a revolutionary leap, it represents a substantial enhancement to the already impressive picture quality of the A80J. Design-wise, the Bravia 8 II retains Sony’s monolithic design, which was introduced a few years ago. The TV includes covers to conceal cables and create a sleek appearance from the back. The legs are now positioned on the sides, eliminating the inner position, which provides increased clearance and allows for the placement of a soundbar between the TV and the soundbar. Performance-wise, the Bravia 8 II demonstrates a remarkable evolutionary upgrade rather than a revolutionary transformation. While it may not be a new generation in the traditional sense, it serves as an enhancement to the already exceptional picture quality of the A80J. In gaming terms, the Bravia 8 II can be compared to the PS5 Pro in terms of its performance, refining and enhancing the base picture rather than completely transforming it. Interestingly, the picture quality of the Bravia 8 II is often comparable to that of its smaller siblings, which should not be interpreted as a negative aspect. However, when the content demands it, the significantly higher brightness and color saturation become evident, elevating the overall viewing experience. To fully appreciate the capabilities of the Bravia 8 II, it is recommended to seek out content that showcases its strengths, such as high-vibrancy animated movies like the Spider-Verse films or HDR gaming, where options are abundant. Specifically, the red tones receive a notable upgrade in many content types. Previously, they tended to exhibit a yellow hue at higher brightness levels, as seen in the fires in Horizon Zero Dawn. In the realm of gaming, several noteworthy enhancements have been introduced. Notably, the inclusion of the game bar and the Dolby Vision game mode stands out. The game bar activates upon pressing the menu button during game mode, presenting a new bar with specific features and settings for customization. These include enabling VRR or motion blur reduction, adding a crosshair, and allowing users to visually reduce the screen size for a closer viewing experience. The game bar operates efficiently, maintaining simplicity, cleanliness, and ease of use. The Dolby Vision game mode, as its name suggests, enables the playback of games in Dolby Vision with minimal input lag, particularly advantageous for Xbox users. For PlayStation users, the television offers the comprehensive suite of Perfect for PS5 automatic compatibility features, facilitating swift optimization of gameplay. Regarding audio, the internal speakers have proven to be a delightful surprise. Dialogue is rich and articulate, bass is present, and its impact is palpable. Additionally, the acoustic center sync functionality ensures that the television operates harmoniously with compatible sound systems. Sony’s approach to audio design is characterized by a “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” philosophy, which I commend. In summary, the Bravia II exemplifies the zenith of Sony’s OLED quality, having undergone meticulous refinement and perfection. As a final testament to a fully owned Sony product before the Bravia Inc. joint venture with TCL commences, this television stands as one of the finest products the company has ever produced.

Best flagship OLED out there
This TV is truly exceptional. I was having a very difficult time deciding among which flagship OLED to get, but what steered me to this one was WhatHiFi's review. And after spending time with this TV I can understand why this is crowned the best. The picture is exceptionally nuanced, detailed, and dimensional. The processing is second to none. My biggest concern was that it lacked raw brightness power of its rivals, and I would be missing out on HDR impact. But it really doesn't seem to be an issue. I've compared this to the Panasonic Z95B at full brightness while playing PS5 games, and surprisingly the Bravia looks more vibrant and perceptually brighter in many scenes to my eyes, despite what the numbers say. Probably due to the exceptional tone mapping and higher color purity of the QD-OLED panel.

High quality OLED TV - would purchase again.
I purchased my Sony BRAVIA 8 Mark II 65-inch TV from Amazon and received it 48 hours later in good condition. The Amazon delivery folks offered to unpack the TV, but I declined that offer. I installed the TV in my bedroom using a "SANUS BLF528 4D + Shift" Mount, which allowed me to mount the TV just outside of a cabinet that was just too small for the TV. The TV looks great, and the SANUS mount worked as advertised.

Beautiful TV, terrible warranty support
I purchased the Sony BRAVIA 8 II expecting a premium product backed by a premium company. Unfortunately, my experience with Sony’s warranty service has been incredibly disappointing. My TV developed an issue while it was still less than a year old and under warranty. I first reported the problem to Sony on July 9, 2026. More than a month later, the television still has not been repaired or replaced. I’ve contacted Sony repeatedly, spoken with customer service, and followed their warranty process, but I’m still left with an unresolved problem and no meaningful resolution. For a television at this price point, that is unacceptable. The BRAVIA 8 II itself has excellent picture quality when it works, which makes this even more frustrating. A premium television isn’t just the panel—you’re also paying for the expectation that the manufacturer will stand behind a very expensive product if something goes wrong. Based on my experience, I would be very hesitant to purchase another Sony television. Buyers considering a BRAVIA should know that if something fails during the warranty period, getting it resolved may be far more difficult and time-consuming than you would expect from a company like Sony. If you have read all of this and still want to buy the Sony, do yourself a favor and look up the experience of others on Reddit. I will update this review if Sony ultimately resolves the issue.

Only buy Sony
Love this tv. I only buy Sony tvs, they are still #1 in image processing. The acoustic audio is awesome too. The speakers are behind the glass so the sound comes towards you unlike most TVs where the speakers are behind the tv. Also, if you never owned an OLED, you’re missing out. By far best color, contrast, and of course perfect blacks. Don’t worry about that burn in stuff. Now TVs have so many features that protect that, this tv shifts its pixels on its own. So unless you keep your tv on for 3 months straight on a static image, don’t worry about that. One thing I will say, Amazon is great, but their drivers don’t know how to ship a tv. He opened the back of the truck and the tv was toppled over on an angle with another box on top. I was like you don’t strap TVs in. That’s a 3,000 dollar tv. He said no, it happens all the time with TVs. What is that? That’s just lack of common sense. Who trains these people!? Anyway, get the tv! Trust me

Better than A95L
I’ve owned every Sony OLED going back to the A8G. A8G has the better motion options out of them all… still!! Come on Sony. Whoever says the A95L is better than the Bravia 8ii don’t know what they are talking about. Color is better Motion is improved on all settings. 2 on smoothness is much better than A95L. Brightness is noticeably better also. It has a bit more depth the smoother motion on higher settings really adds to the depth. Motion still needs improvement for less artifacts but overall it’s better than A95L. The Bravia 8ii I don’t feel the need to sell after a year or 2. My A95L within weeks its forgettable, the saving grace was gaming on the A95L, Raising sharpness to 60 and reality creation to 33 transforms the image from dull to destroying my S90D’s. Bravia 8ii I also raise to Sharpness 60 and reality creation 30. It has zero negative affects to image quality like older Sonys did. A95L is loaded with motion bugs. Bravia 8ii seems to have fixed the bugs issues. Sony needs to improve motion handling Setting at 1 is a blur fest but zero artifacts. Setting 2 is ideal motion, smooth very slight blur but also slight artifacts Setting 3 is close to SOE but not bad. But artifacts and fuzz around every object. Real life motion there’s no blur so give us the chance to turn movies into real life and not this blurry fuzzy mess, it’s not 1980’s anymore Sony. Is it worth $600 more than A95L? YES!!! Living with a TV for years, I would not get the A95L. It’s motion is worse, color is worse, not as bright. Motion improvements alone are reasons to spend more.

Don’t leave at the mailbox
I did not like the fact that fedex left it at my mailbox in the snow! It was a good thing I was home that day! But the Tv is great!!

Huge Upgrade from My Previous Sony TV
Excellent picture quality and a huge upgrade from my previous Sony TV. The colors, contrast, and HDR performance are incredible, especially for gaming on PS5. Black levels are outstanding and the image has a very cinematic look. The TV setup was straightforward but had a lot of data collection choices and the build quality feels premium. One thing I noticed on day 1 was some faint vertical tinting in a bright scene, but it disappeared shortly afterward and has not been an issue during normal use. My only frustration was with the shipping process. The estimated delivery date changed multiple times (Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Friday, then Saturday), which made planning difficult. However, this appears to be an Amazon delivery issue rather than a problem with the TV itself. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end OLED for movies, streaming, and PS5 gaming.

Sony bravia oled 8ll 65 pulgadas

Truly the best QD Oled
I have 2 Lg Oleds, the last one is a c3. The image on this Bravia 8 ii is breathless. My first 4k I watched Fire and Ash, Avatar. I was blown away. I understand the price tag is higher than the G6 of LG but I am very, very happy in choosing The Bravia 8 ii.
