Kenmore is fine.
does what it says, yes there is a dis-information thing going on, likely from kitchenaide, and their consistently over priced products. The negative you=tubes etc, seem to be bunk, Kenmore is fine.

Kenmore stand mixer
I like the Kenmore stand mixer, I've had it since November 2012 and so far no problems. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because it does seem to vibrate harder at times. I do always have it on a level surface. I use it for making icing and cakes, so far nothing heavier than that. The LED light over the mixing bowl is nice too. After I had written this review I had noticed the screw under the tilt back head and decided to tighten it to see if that would help with the vibration. Now it runs smoothly.

Finally!
I waited for over 5 years for this replacement part. It works and shave on Sears for taking so long to produce these.

DO NOT BUY! Piece of Junk!
I've gone through two of these. The first one barely lasted a year. There are times when the bowl is almost impossible to remove and you might need to wear earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. I took the first one back to Sears and after a few months they decided it couldn't be fixed and they gave me a new one. This one had the same issues, Then it tarted turning on by itself and the light would flash so I had to unplug it. I think it must have faulty wiring because the last time I used it, it wouldn't turn off and I had to unplug it to add more ingredients and then it wouldn't turn on when I plugged it back in and the light was flashing. The handle broke off while trying to remove the bowl about a year ago and the paint starts peeling off the beater and dough hook after the first time you use them.

No good reason to buy this poorly supported clone of the popular Kitchen Aide stand mixer
I'm not sure why this item uses a design so similar to a traditional Kitchen Aide stand mixer while having slightly different hole sizes for the beater and the bowls. The front port for attachments seems to use the same dimensions as our older Kitchen Aide, but the blade and bowl attachment points are of the same design, but slight different diameters. In use this mixer is a bit louder than our older mixer, but is has plenty of power and great speed control. Given that you can find a similar mixer from the better known brand at about the same price, why go for the Sears Made in China clone? It doesn't have the long term parts support of a Kitchen Aid and Sears doesn't offer ANY accessories which fit.

Doesn't compete with Kitchen Aid in content or quality
I gave this to my son & daughter-in-law for Christmas and they were very pleased. They plan on ordering some of the attachments. On the downside, the Kitchen Aid brand, comes with many attachments, while this does not. I think, after buying the attachments the Kitchen Aid represents a better buy and probably a better product.

Durable and long-lasting, better for lighter use
I have been using this mixer for more than 5 years, and it has held up well. It is lighter than my Kitchenaid mixer, but it can be louder. It comes with multiple attachements, which are easy to remove and clean; it also comes with two bowls, which are less easy to remove. The head tilts back, which I love, and there is a light on the head, which is a feature I never knew I'd enjoy so much. It isn't quite as strong as the kitchenaid, and I have found that I use this for lighter work- frosting, light batters, etc., and use the Kitchenaid for heavier work such as thicker doughs, etc.
