It is lightweight but silky soft and surprisingly warm. It is very feminine and has the feel of quality. The colors are subtle and the pattern is very nice and carries through to the opposite side. I'm a plus size but it wrapped around my curves just fine with out feeling too tight or silly. It will add elegance to my black evening gown. The fabric is a polyester wool blend that is exceedingly soft to the touch, very smooth, and also comfy and warm. The weaving and patterns are amazing and beautiful, and this one I got in navy is lushly colored.It's also really generously sized, making it all the more versatile. This is exactly the kind of dupatta that I'd toss into my shoulder bag when traveling because it's even large enough to serve as a wrap or blanket. I'm not kidding: 40x80 inches? Amazing. And when folded up, it's not that big in terms of volume.The pattern is subtly different on each side, and wonderfully complex. I noticed no pilling or shedding, by the way.Good value for the cost, and I'm probably going to buy at least one more in a different shade.
