However, in my application it did not work well at all. It all started with a room rearrange, the original copper wire ran along the baseboard & had worked great for years but with room being refreshed we decided to conceal and run overhead. This required a longer run so I ordered this CCA wire and after connections were made we noticed a bad buzz in speakers and at times sounded like speakers had a blown tweeter. Checked connections, grounding, possible electric wiring interference and could not resolve the issue. Finally broke out original copper wire and ran it in several combinations and culprit was the CCA (copper clad aluminum) wire. Replaced with new low voltage copper 16 gauge wire and now sounds great, very clean!To reiterate the wire is as described but in a higher end home theater setting it was the wrong wire. This wire is probably great for auto and off the shelf home stereo but in the future I will stick with copper.
