Xtra-Seal 3/16" patch/plugs
I don't have any big experience with patch/plugs but I had no problems with my first tire repair. Biggest issue is that I didn't know what size to get. I think this was a good size for a little screw in my tire. Seems like 1/8" would be too small for may things but they are a common size at least on Amazon. I saw the 1/4" too but didn't want to open up the hole any more than necessary to clean it out.I used the same brand of vulcanizing compound plus I cleaned the tire with alcohol and a tire buffer. No issues. My tires are pretty new and so I expect the patch to have gotten a very good bond.
