Who has it better than them
This is NOT a recipe book... it is mostly pictures and stories of people across Texas who smoke meat. It was fantastic, and a great coffee table book to tell everyone that you are serious about smoking meat!!!

Great coffee table book, it’s not a cook book
I thought it would have some good recipes or tricks of the trade but it didn’t. Still a really cool book

High level photography of Texas’s treasured bbq joints
Stunning photography of some of the best and most interesting barbecue joints in Texas. Aaron Franklin’s story was enjoyable as was Daniel Vaughn expresses today’s state of Texas barbecue in an eloquent essay. Wyatt superbly captures images from iconic barbecue joints and sprinkles in just the right amount on new arrivals on to the Texas barbecue scene. You get something new every time you flip through the pages of this book.

Can a Book Taste like Texas BBQ?
In the case of Wyatt McSpadden's Texas BBQ, the answer is yes. This gorgeous coffee table book showcases work by one of the best photographers in the state documenting the steaming, dripping, juicy foodways of Central Texas. The book itself is a piece of history and is filled with photos from McSpadden's twenty years documenting barbecue around Austin. For me, it was like a walk down memory lane as I've enjoyed many of the same spots for authentic barbecue, prepared by pit masters that have been smoking meat for decades.Favorites like Kreuz, Smitty's, City Market, Cooper's, and more had me dreaming of my next road trip.

Wonderful quality and great pictorial insights to the barbeque.
What a wonderful book. Now, this is about the people that make the barbeque, so you need to be aware of that. The emotion coming out of the pictures will keep you looking at all the details available. Truly remarkable. I found the quality of the photography outstanding and yes, you can actually smell barbeque smoke from the book. Trust me, close your eyes and you will to.
