Pure, Fast, and Worth Every Penny!
The water tastes incredibly clean and fresh, and the flow rate is impressively fast compared to other RO systems Iโve used before. I love the sleek tankless design โ it saves so much space under the sink and looks modern and organized.Installation was straightforward, and the smart faucet display is a really nice touch for monitoring filter life and water quality. The system runs quietly, and Iโve noticed a huge improvement in both drinking water taste and cooking quality.

This is a top notch system and top notch company
I RARELY give anything 5 stars so it should not be taken lightly. but, this unit, the company and they're attention to service has left me totally impressed. I've had 3 previous RO units and every last one of them has left me disappointed. Some more than others but they've not been replaced because they wore out. They were hard to care for, performed poorly, Name it something left me not happy. So much so I'd actually given up on RO units and went with a simple multi-stage water filter. Which was "ok". Until this unit. For the record I also purchased one accessory for it (their small pressure tank https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MD7FFYP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleThis because I have the unit hooked up to my refrigerator which has an ice maker so the pressure tank was necessary so when the ice maker called for water there would be sufficient flow to maintain correct operation.Neither unit has disappointed me (except a little stand for the tank would have been nice to have). As it is I've worked around that oversight.By being a "tankless" system there is no problems with stale tasting water and being a very small tank water is exchanged in it almost immediately while it does it's job.The main unit sits under my sink, and when filling a container of say a half liter or more the pump will kick on and hum quietly under the sink. Almost unnoticeable. The water taste is great, the remineralization gives me just the right amount of TDS back into the water for taste and mineral content.Bottom line this is one helluva nice unitAlso wanted to add how incredibly attentive people in Customer Service have been especially Olivia. Honestly once again a top notch unit and company. If not this one grab a unit from these folks I don't think you will go wrong here.Update 11/17/2025I am becoming increasingly concerned and disillusioned here with this product and the Waterdrop company. About 2 weeks ago I began noting quite high readings of TDS in my water unless I let this system run an inordinate amount of time before consuming or testing. Which is impractical as the unit is not simply plumbed to my sink but additionally plumbed to my refrigerator dispenser and ice maker. Here it is totally impractical (if not impossible) to allow this system to "run and flush itself) every few hours!I don't know if something has failed (they claim the CF type filter is supposed to last 6 months and the RO cartridge 12 months). Well I am not even at 4 months of use yet and I am using this with softened pre-filtered water. Yet trying to get a hold of someone at Waterdrop is like pulling teeth!I am seriously considering disposing of this system and either A going back to a conventional (tank type) RO system or perhaps one from a company with better follow through. As this is unacceptable. Should this change or be resolved I will certainly follow up with a full report. For now consider this a 2 start item not a 5 starUpdate on an updateUpon talking further with the company re the concern(s) I have had/experienced, especially with Krystal, then verifying it with independent research on my own, I've discovered what was a "concern" is actually just a phenomena with all RO systems (whether tank or tankless as this one). It's called "TDS Creep". So what had me concerned was when left overnight, if you drew a glass of water and tested it straight off with another TDS meter it would give a somewhat high reading. Not awful just higher than you'd think. I've since come to find out this happens with all RO systems due to the stagnant water sitting under pressure against the RO Membrane. And that initial "slug" of water does flush away in seconds.Krystal was quite helpful in helping me discern this. I think some of my concern came due to some language differences as well as the huge time difference with their tech support. No there is not only a lag but with things translated "on the fly" there can be some misinterpretation. However they have been more than kind with walking me through the whole thing and having the knowledge will keep me from making a poor decision. I like the system so much a I ended up buying a second one for our daughter and will install it soon. For her I found a G2 and am looking forward to getting it installed

Great tankless RO system at a great price
I replaced my old tank style RO system with this tankless RO system. Overall, I am pleased with this RO system. Sort of easy to install and the water flows and does not run out like my old tank RO. The instructions were easy to follow and I like how much smaller this tankless RO system is compared to my old tanked RO system. Great value compared to other company tankless RO system. Right now I am flushing my system but the water had low TDS even before flushing. The only bad things was the tube is bigger than my previous RO system so I had to use the included faucet which my wife hates since it is not gold. I checked the Waterdeep website but there is no gold nor black faucet I can change. The tubing was a tad inflexible but I was able to install them. Once the flush is done, I expect the water to have a clean taste with no odor.

I love this unit!
Our very expensive municipal tap water in this town is quite disgusting and has failed multiple quality checks for dissolved chemicals over the years. We aren't at "boil water" advisement quite yet but it has a swampy odor and leaves a nasty pinkish orange residue in sinks. I was filtering my water and the drinking water for my pets but it was obvious that the filters for the fridge and pitcher were clogging prematurely or losing their effectiveness before the reminder came on. Also, most filters don't remove things like dissolved metabolized pharmaceuticals and fluoride, which I do NOT want in my drinking water. After spending a fortune on bottled water, I finally had enough and decided to get a reverse osmosis system. It's only been installed for about a week and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the water. I did have a plumber install it for me since it required some new supply lines and other modifications to be added, but there have been no leaks and i love its compact design and that it doesn't have a big tank to take up space in my cabinet. The cartridges last a good long time but with how bad our water is, the CF filter may end up lasting less than the expected 6 months. The membrane cartridge is supposed to last 24 months but we will see. It's super easy to use, just turn the handle on the included faucet, the unit makes a very gentle hum and clean, fresh water comes out. If you're on the fence about one of these systems, you can't go wrong with this model. It will do you and your family's health a big favor. Note: if you plan to provide RO water for your pets, especially cats, do not get a model with the alkaline ph filter.

Great unit, and great customer support!
6-month Update: The RO continues to perform excellently, with no leakage or unexpected issues since installation. We are preparing for our first CF filter replacement; the advisory beeps are audible but not excessively loud (RO unit is installed in a closed-door under-sink cabinet). We also added our refrigerator ice maker to our Waterdrop system, and it seems to be performing well. I believe this RO is a far better system than our old one, and recommend it.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Original Review: We purchased and installed this RO filter almost a month ago. Here are our impressions:- The taste of the water produced is excellent, much better than the old system this one replaced.- We experienced no leakage after installation, again an improvement.- It has a much smaller under-sink footprint than our old one.- Filters are easy to remove/replace.- Installation was easy, especially with multiple videos, instructions, and diagrams.- The unit feels very well put together, and all the parts were there.- It makes some normal noise during operation, but not so loud that it is distracting or annoying; our refrigerator ice maker is about the same level. I don't see it as a detractor.- Customer Service: This is where Waterdrop really shined in my family's eyes. Our Customer Service Rep, Krystal X, responded within hours of our initial request for help, and on a weekend to boot. She took the time to gather pertinent trouble information, get it to her engineers, and had a response and had parts on the way almost immediately. It is clear she and Waterdrop care about the quality of their product and taking care of their customers, and stand by their product to fix any concerns immediately. Krystal took personal ownership of our ticket, and saw it through the process to final resolution. I feel like this is a level of customer service that so many businesses simply don't deliver these days; in my opinion she would be an excellent trainer of other reps, or a great supervisor/manager. Please pass on our thanks to her, Waterdrop! As mentioned above we had a small issue, but since it was resolved and didn't involve something we saw in other reviews, I think it may be a one-off circumstance that was satisfactorily fixed by Waterdrop. I do know we are happy with our improved water quality. Thank you!

Functional and modern looking
This is a great RO system and is priced very well compared to similar filtration systems. This Waterdrop G5P700A unit was replacing an older tank RO system that weโve owned for over 7 years and which had 4 filters. One of the reasons I selected this Waterdrop product was it only entails 2 filter replacements, but still having 8 stages of filtration. (One filter change every 6 months, and the other primary RO filter has a lifetime of 24mo).The faucet installation was the most demanding task, as needed to enlarge the hole in the granite countertop to aid in getting the faucet through. All other steps for installation were spelled out in the instruction sheet and easy to follow.I really like the black matte look on the RO unit even though itโs under my sink and not visible to everyone. The faucet which has a brushed nickel finish is an ideal match to my main kitchen faucet and the RO faucet has a very modernistic and stylish look. The electric pump that runs when the faucet handle is opened is relatively quiet. After using this system a few days you donโt even notice or are aware of the sound when the pump runs. Water stream is constant and okay, but slightly less flow than my old tank RO system. Perhaps takes another second or so to fill 8oz cup, in comparison.Iโve only had this RO unit installed and functioning for 3 months now, but everything appears to be operating great and the water taste is perfect. No issues so far with leaks or faucet dripping as other buyer reviews have mentioned. We currently are impressed with the product and hoping it will continue to operate flawlessly and provide excellent tasting water for many years to follow.** Updated review **After using this RO system for almost five months now, I'm updating my initial review. On the positive side, my independent testing with a separate third-party TDS meter confirms that the unit is providing good quality filtered water. However, a significant concern has arisen regarding the accuracy of the smart faucet's TDS display. The smart faucet consistently only displays a reading between 15 and 18, a number that does not match the actual readings I have verified using a stand-alone TDS meter. As an example: When water remains idle in the alkaline filter for an extended period (e.g overnight), the TDS will be initially higher upon dispensing. This effect holds true as my test sample with a TDS pen has been as high as 225 after inactivity. However, the TDS value in the faucet display never changes or fluctuates when turning on the faucet. In my case, the faucet display should be detecting and showing that higher mineral content, before dropping back down to a more normal range after about 15-20 seconds of purging. When I reached out to Waterdropโs customer support about this issue, they maintained that the device was functioning "normally" and offered no solution or replacement. I believe this meaningless value on the faucet display indicates a defective sensor or faucet, and their lack of support has left me with a complete loss of confidence in the product's smart features. A properly functioning display should alert the user to any increased dissolved solids (TDS) to insure you are receiving the best quality water.

Excellent product and customer service (somewhat confusing product listing)
The product has been exactly what I expected and hoped it would. The installation is fairly straightforward, you have to work in the space under your sink with water pipes so I won't say it's an easy job but the smart connectors and adapter supplied by Waterdrop make it as easy as it can be! The instructions are good, not great, I paid careful attention and was able to get it right first time.I bought the Alkaline version (the G5P500A not the G5P500) - that was slightly confusing because the product packaging doesn't indicate whether the unit you receive is a G5P500A or a G5P500 - and there is a single product listing which shows two different colors, but in fact one "color" is the G5P500A and the other is the G5P500.I contacted Waterdrop Support to confirm that I had received the correct product and they pointed out that the filter in the G5P500A is very clearly marked WD-G5P500A-CF. They were super helpful and understanding because I had also ordered a replacement filter and had not ordered the right one for the G5P500A - I was able to return the wrong one and get a replacement with no extra cost. So I'd say the two different versions of the G5P500 could be more clearly distinguished in the product listing - but Doreen in customer support went above and beyond to clear things up for me.Most important of all I'm getting great water quality from the unit (~22TDS) - I am on well water with an iron filter that makes the water good for household use but I wanted to purify that further to give me good quality drinking water. The unit makes a whirring sound when it's in use but it's not too loud. There is a brief delay after you turn on the tap - but I expected that because this is a tankless unit, which is what I wanted - then the water flows at a good rate - I haven't timed it but I'd guess about 90sec to fill a coffee pot.I haven't had to change filters but I took the filter out to check the model and it easy to remove and put back.Overall I'd recommend the product and customer support.I also got an excellent price during Prime Days!

Excellent quality water
I've been using this for four months. Easy install if you're slightly handy. My city water is the usual very hard water in the Southwest. I first have a whole house charcoal filter, then a salt-based softener (I'm old school and like things that actually WORK), and then this undersink reverse osmosis system with the optional filter that restores desirable minerals. The drinking water is clear, tasteless, and odorless. My basis for comparison: I used to have a vacation home across from the Pepacton Reservoir in upstate New York. Years ago, CR magazine would blind test various drinking water from all the major bottled water company. Included in the test was ordinary tap water from New York City. Because of the excellent quality of water from those NY state reservoirs, the NYC sample almost always won. A bonus was that the perfect pH was great for shampooing hair. The quality of the water from this unit rivals that NYC water.

Important Info for Cat People
I haven't installed this unit yet, the 5 stars is for customer support. I wanted to share the information I received for fellow cat people because it could save your cat's life! Unlike humans, cats require a slightly neutral/acidic Ph (6-6.5). If their Ph balance becomes too acidic or too alkaline, they could develop urinary stones and need to be put on a prescription diet and/or have surgery (in the best case scenarios). I called customer support to inquire if I could simply remove the alkaline portion of this filter for when I'm filling my cats' water dish. She explained that the unit wouldn't work with one of the filters removed, but gave me a brilliant workaround. Here's the plan: I will purchase a replacement filter that's NOT alkaline (similar model number but without the A; the non-alkaline filter for this unit is G5P500-CF), then switch out that filter when I'm filling my cats' dishes. When I'm done using it, she advised me to store it in there refrigerator to prolong the shelf-life. She said that I will need to retire that filter after 3 months, whether it's all used up or not. While I wish it would keep longer when not in use, I am thrilled that the company offered this workaround solution. I can't imagine too many other companies would be willing to be creative and flexible like that. Their kindness and willingness to help me find a solution was impressive. Waterdrop, if you're listening, thank you for helping meow-t :)

Excellent value for my money
The continuous flow is great.Knowing it has a high clean to waste ratio I feel good about it saving me money. I removed an older (bulky) unit then installed this unit. It took me about 10 minutes to install it. No issues at all. Saved a lot of space too.

Great taste.

Slow pump
Takes 5s for the pump to pump water to faucet. Unlike advertised.
