SimPure Y9A UV Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filter, Alkaline

I can already tell this is one of the best purchases I’ve made for my health and home. There are so many reasons I love this water purifier. First, the setup could not have been easier. The quick start guide walked me through everything step by step. All I had to do was rinse the tank, fill it up, and plug it in. It started running automatically, and after cycling the water four times as recommended, it was ready to go. The filtration power is impressive. This system can filter up to 300 gallons per day, which is far more than most countertop filters. With its 6-stage purification process and 3 advanced filters, it removes 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, and contaminants. The replacement filters are affordable and do not need to be changed often, which makes it both cost effective and convenient. The taste of the water is outstanding. It is crisp, clean, and has no strange odor. I made sure to get the version with remineralization, and I am so glad I did. Standard reverse osmosis removes everything, but this purifier adds back essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Not only does the water taste fresh, but it also supports better hydration and overall health. You could add minerals separately with drops or sea salt, but having the purifier do it for you makes life so much easier. The design is another big win. Love this so far! We have had it since December 2025 and just had to change the 2 of the 3 filters. Our water from the tap is nasty and tastes like chlorine and dirt. Lol. This purifier has made a huge difference. We used Brita and PuR in the past but so far we like this better. It can be a pain to keep refilling if you drink a lot of water (we do!) But tastes great. We keep a pitcher in the fridge since the machine is room temp water.

I purchased this SimPure water pitcher in November 2025 and overall I’m very happy with it. The water tastes much better and cleaner, and it has helped me reduce bottled water use at home. The pitcher is easy to use, easy to refill, and the design fits well in the refrigerator. What I like most is that the filtration is fast enough for daily use and the filters are reasonably priced compared to other brands. The plastic also feels decent quality and not too flimsy. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I wish the filter lifespan indicator and pouring design were a little more refined, but overall it has been a very good purchase for the price. I would recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable everyday water filtration option.

Do not buy!!! I would give 0 stars if I could. I had another Simpure that broke in less than a year, but decided to give Simpure another try with the Y9. It broke in less than 3 months and did not filter the water properly. Since I bought protection through Asurion, I thought they would replace and they didn’t. I had to go through Simpure manufacturer and they refused to replace the system and sent me water new filters to replace the less than 3 month old filters. The machine still did not properly work. I’ve been drinking out of water bottles for over a month now which is ridiculous for a machine I paid over $350 for with “protection”. And when I try to get ahold of someone through customer support, no one ever answers. Don’t waste your money!!!

The water tastes great and I change the water about once per day. Twice per day if I am using the water for cooking, such as pasta. I did have to flush it about 10 times (they recommend at least 3-5 times) before I stopped getting floating stuff in the water. They mention in the manual this can happen due to the protective liquid (food grade glycerin) in the RO filter cartridge and that it disappears after flushing. However, I started getting floating stuff in the water again after a little while. Not sure why it keeps coming back if they said it disappears after flushing. It is not coming from my tap water. I wish they had the rejected water in its own isolated compartment or at least have the divider closer to the top. The rejected water constantly enters the feed/source water, so the system is constantly trying to filter water that it has already filtered. I used water test strips and a TDS meter. Tap water ranges from 430-450 ppm. Filtered water through this ranges from 40-50 ppm and bottled water was 20-22 ppm. The top part of the water tank is starting to bend on the left side. There are no latches or anything to secure the lids. They lay flat on top. I have dropped the lid into the water tank several times when I go to change out the water. It does take a while to dispense the water, especially if you are using a lot for cooking. I suggest getting a pitcher or water bottles to fill them beforehand. I wish the water dispenser itself was higher as I cannot fit containers greater than 8 inches tall underneath it. Some water bottles will not fit. I usually have to move the magnetic drip catcher as well. I do have to wipe down the water tank and the part of the system that holds it every time I change the water to help prevent leaks. Otherwise, water will leak around it when I place it back in. It is a bit concerning how close it can leak next to the power cord in the back if you are not careful. This is still a decent system and it fits in my apartment.

I’ve been using the SimPure Y9A UV Countertop Reverse Osmosis system for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made for my home. The water tastes incredibly clean and crisp — way better than bottled water and the alkaline remineralization gives it a smooth, natural taste instead of that flat RO flavor. The setup couldn’t be easier since it’s countertop and doesn’t require installation. Just plug it in and start using it. The 300 GPD capacity is more than enough for daily use, and it fills quickly without any hassle. I also really appreciate the UV purification feature it adds an extra layer of confidence that the water is safe, especially for family use. The build quality feels solid and modern, and it looks great on the counter. Overall, if you want high-quality purified water without dealing with under-sink installation, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! This machine is advertised to do three things. Reverse osmosis filtration, raise alkalinity of water, and raise PH level. It only does one out of the 3.. reverse osmosis filtration. I used water test strips to test after following the directions exactly as instructed in the manual and to my surprise, the pH level and alkalinity didn't raise at all compared to my tap water. I then tested it against Fiji water for comparison and to make sure the test strips worked properly. The instant that test strip hit the Fiji water.. the box for alkaline and pH lit up and turned from yellow to green (alkalinity) I don't remember the colors for PH but point is, it changed. Unlike the test on the filtered water after filtering the system a recommended 5 times (I did 6 just in case) it did properly filter out other chemicals and reduce the hardness of the water ever so slightly so I guess if you are looking for a machine to somewhat clean your water, look no further! If you are looking for clean, alkaline water.. steer completely clear of this simpure "alkaline" machine. I was a little late on getting the picture for test strips so the colors are fading but the bottom strip is the Fiji water.

Had to read the troubleshooting steps to fix a taste issue but the troubleshooting worked perfectly and we love this! Even my nephew who swears he'll only drink Essentia PH water said it tastes just like it lol. I bought this during prime day and glad I did. As far as testing it, I didn't. I just wanted my water to taste better than my Brita and this does! Pouring speed is pretty fast, no leaks, hold over a gallon. Only issue is the minimum line, wish it actually used all the water. Install was super easy though.

Absolutely love this! Water tastes just like it came from an under sink reverse osmosis system. We live in an apartment and like our reverse osmosis like we had in a house. And it isn’t overly big.

Excellent reverse osmosis machine the best money can buy.

I have been using this for 1.5 months. The filters are supposed to last 6-9 months. We are a family of 3 and the TDS when we installed it was 20 ppm. After one month it went to 35 ppm and now it is at 71 ppm at 1.5 months. You can see a picture. We live in Toronto so the starting TDS is 151 ppm. I am going to have to purchase a new filter system which together cost $200. If that is how my no have to spend every year = $1400 a year on Top of the $550 price tag. It is not worth it.
