If you're looking for an extremely sour candy for the purpose of doing a viral challenge, then Barnetts Mega Sours are 100% worth it. The pieces are surprisingly large, so one is more than enough per person. Each candy is heavily coated in malic acid, and you can tell before even tasting them that they’re going to pack a serious punch. Now for the taste. This is where you have to consider why you're eating these in the first place. They don’t actually taste good. At first, all you’ll notice is the thick coating of malic acid. These are meant for people who want to experience an intensely, almost unbearably sour candy. Overall, they’re cheaper than the viral Black Death candy and just as sour, if not even more so.

These things are awesome and are definitely the most sour candy that I've tried. They're a little large, but the perfect amount of sour. You get about 30 seconds of intense sour and then the rest of the candy (5-10 mins if you don't chew it) is sweet and only mildly sour. I'd love to see a smaller version of these (maybe half of the size) so I could have a higher sour to sweet ratio. After having a few of these things, your cheeks and tongue will likely be sensitive and will probably start shedding over the next few days. The small packs are expensive, as these things are almost $1/ea, but the larger quantity bags are only a couple of dollars more and come with over twice as much candy. If opened for a while, the malic acid on the surface becomes less crystalized over time and seems to lose some of it's sourness, so if you want peak sour, it's probably best to spend the extra on the smaller packs unless you're going to be sharing or eating a lot of these in a short period of time. 10/10

Super disappointing, taste is great however it is not hardly sour at all. Based off all the reviews on TikTok and such, I was expecting to have a mouth watering can’t tolerate experience. It was pretty tame and lame 10 out of 10 would not recommend or buy again. The hardness is what you respect for hard candy. The size is a decent size, but the value for the money is not worth it.

They are super good but they’re also super sour like they’re extremely sour I got it. I thought it wasn’t gonna be that sour and it really is but they’re super super good. They taste like raspberry and it has a ton of acid in it. It’s kind of sticky. I dropped it and got in my hair and it’s stuck in my hair. I had to take a shower And. It’s very good for the price. There’s a time in there just for $10 so that’s good and it doesn’t melt at all.

I bought this for my kids and it was so much fun. They loved it and even turned it into a little challenge to see who could handle it the longest, which made it a funny family moment. The appearance is nice and the quality is excellent. Shipping was fast and everything arrived perfectly. For the taste and fun factor, the value for the price is really great. I would definitely buy again.

Not sure how some people are saying these are not sour. Pretty much on par with Warheads in terms of sourness, better taste after though. Very sour up front and these will probably wreck your tongue quicker than Warheads or Toxic waste. No complaints, would recommend.

It’s not as sour as I thought it would be only the light powder on the outside is sour but not for long. The taste of the candy is good. Wish it was more sour and lived up to its name
