LOVE LOVE LOVE
I am SO HAPPY that they finally made a glass Camelbak!! I have it in blue but will be getting it in every color because I'm so excited they finally gave me what I wanted. For a couple of years now I had been using a kerplunk glass bottle and just placing the camelbak top/straw on it. But it didn't fit quite right. This bottle is great. There's no plasticy or metal taste to the water. Glass is the only material that doesn't leach a seperate taste to the water after it's been in there for a while. The only thing is that the straw is still plastic. I actually have some straws made out of glass that I sometimes use with the camelbaks, and they work, but again- there is a fit issue so I often can't use them. I wish camelbak would make a stainless steel version of their straw. UPDATE/ March 2013: for those who are interested, I found a company that makes custom sized glass straws. It's called "GLASS DHARMA" and they have a website. If you order their "smoothie" sized straws and ask that they be custom cut to 7 & 3/8 inches, they will fit great with these camelbaks. I've been using their glass straws for years and they are really durable- last forever if you don't drop them on a hard floor (they are glass after-all), but this is the first time I realized they did custom sizes so I measured and ordered a couple and they fit/work great! Their straws come with a life-time guarantee. I even dropped my camelbak on the floor once and luckily it didn't break, but I lifted the lid and checked the glass straw to make sure it was fine- not a scratch. If you decide to use these you should wet the glass straw and inside of the camelbak lid before twisting the straw in- The lubrication will make it slide in without you having to worry about being too rough. The straws hold up perfectly inside these camelbaks. (Oh- and since they are glass I wouldn't use them in bottles that you use for sports activities or anything like that.) They look cooler than the plastic straws too because you can see the cloudy white plastic straw through the bottle vs the crystal-clear glass straw that matches better with the bottle (and the water). I still use the plastic straw when I leave the house so that I don't have to worry about breakage during transport etc... but when I drink indoors (which is 99% of the time for me) I use these glass straws instead. The plastic straw is ok- unlike when I use plastic bottles which give off a plasticy taste almost immediately- the straw only seems to leech a plasticy taste if it's been sitting in the water for a couple of days or more... but Still I like to avoid plastic whenever possible and if you are like me you might appreciate this alternative too.

Great bottle! If you were curious if it worked with the Groove straw, well...kind of.
Really love this bottle, it's a beautiful design! The nozzle is very easy to adapt to, and once you do, you might come to prefer it. It's my first experience with Camelbak bite valves, and I really love them. You bite down and suck, and it takes about as much effort as using a straw, plus there's practically no way of spilling. Once you stop biting that water is not coming out, even if you hold it upside down and shake. But once you do, it's not hard to draw up at all. You get the perfect amount of water with each medium to long sip (if you take short sips you get an unsatisfying amount of water and it starts feeling like you're nursing a baby bottle. Do not recommend). It's pretty fun, completely natural and I find myself drinking more just because it's less of a chore. The only thing I had to get used to was not tilting the bottle when it was low on water, which I'd have to do with any strawed bottle, anyway. It works extremely well if you don't do that, you can get to very bottom of the bottle with no gurgling. The design is really practical. The silicone makes the bottle easy to hold, and I assume would give some protection to the glass if dropped, though I really hope never to accidentally test that out. Gives it a bit of grip on whatever surface you put it on, too. Also, the lid may look a bit silly, but that little ring that sticks up and out is an amazingly useful feature. You just notch a finger around it and carry the bottle around from that. The bite valve tucks up backwards under where that ring begins when you're not using it, and there's a bit of lipped notch on the underside so when you want to pull it up again you just put you thumb or finger on it and pull down. It's not hard, but once it's tucked down it does notch closed, and it won't open again without deliberate pressure. But once again, it's not hard to do. I would definitely recommend this bottle, if you couldn't tell. 5/5 Now, on a semi-related note, since I was curious when ordered but I couldn't find reviews addressing this. At the same time I bought this bottle, I also bought a Groove bottle (.75 liters), the one which filters water right through the straw. I was really hoping I'd be able to use that lid and straw with this bottle so I could just fill it with tap water wherever, and still have decent tasting water. Not that there's anything wrong at all with that bottle, but I really like glass, and this is a really nice looking bottle. And the good news is you can! -sort of. The lid fits perfectly, no leaks, but the straw is just a little too long. If you tighten the lid all the way closed, the straw touches the very bottom of the bottle, and then you'll have a more difficult time of drawing water, or will have a disturbing whining noise while you sip. Sometimes you can't get any water at all. I don't know why that varies. But if you untwist the lid just a hair it's as easy as ever, though it will leak if you tilt the bottle and shake. Just twist it tighter when you're done drinking. It works, but it's not a perfect solution.

Fantastic glass bottle - can't say the same for the lid
I've been waiting a while for an all-glass water bottle with a decent capacity - and, finally, Camelbak has delivered. At just under 24 ounces, this is definitely larger than the standard 16-oz glass offerings elsewhere (and larger capacity = more likely to drink more water!). The rubberized casing is fairly standard, no complaints there, and you can slide it off without too much effort if you prefer. The cap works very well, easy to take apart and clean when needed (though I'd recommend having a small baby-bottle-nipple cleaning brush for the mouthpiece). When the mouthpiece is rotated shut I've never had it leak once, but even when rotated open it's not prone to leakage, either. Other reviews have mentioned: 1. It gets heavy when filled with water (true, but not too bad - can still carry it around with one finger hooked around the handle) and 2. Though glass, it seems incredibly sturdy (also true - has been dropped off the couch onto a wood floor by my 1-year-old more than once with no adverse effects). Initially I was planning to do as some others recommended and replace the plastic straw with a glass version, but after using the bottle for a while I'm perfectly happy with the plastic one - no bad taste and stays perfectly clean. ****UPDATE: It's now been nearly ten months since my previous review. Because I bought two of these bottles, it's safe to say I've gotten a pretty good idea of their performance. One was for myself and one was for my husband. Ten months later, and the lids of both bottles have been used to uselessness - which is why I've docked one star from my initial five-star review. Upon arrival, the rubber mouthpiece of my bottle was more difficult to move than my husband's. With some use, it became much easier to use, which was great - and then it became TOO easy to use! Before four months were out, the mouthpiece would move on its own and wouldn't latch into the closed position whatsoever. I had more than one major leak in my bag... and leaking once is one time too many, thank you. Because of the initial difficulty of the bottle lid to open, I theorized that it was just MY lid that was the problem, so I bought my husband a replacement lid (he never used it at all) with CamelBak Better Bottle Classic Cap (Graphite/Clear) and took his instead. It's been a couple of months using his old lid, and now the mechanism on his is wearing down as well! I'm sorry, Camelbak. I love your bottle, but either the lid's design or material is going to need some work. As a final note, my husband's new classic lid works wonderfully, with no signs of any wear or tear in the two months since we purchased it. Also, as an additional drinking-type lid option, apparently Nalgene OTF Bottle Lid (Blue/Blue) fits on these Eddy bottles perfectly, so it's the lid I plan to purchase when this lid finally breathes its last.

The best water bottle ever!
This is by far my favorite water bottle. I love that it is glass so it doesn’t take on any weird flavors. It is so easy to clean, you can pop it right in the dishwasher. Also it doesn’t leak! You can push the straw down and throw it in your bag without a worry. Having a straw is something that encourages me to drink more, I love that this is so portable with a straw. I own two of these. One I keep at home, and one I keep in my car for when I’m not home. This water bottle is also VERY durable, I have dropped my old one so many times, and it is still fully intact. Only slight downside to this water-bottle is that it does not fit in traditional car cup holders. I am not sure though that I would appreciate a re-design of this so that it would fit. It’s perfect the way that it is.

My favorite water bottle
I am in love with this water bottle. Yes, it is glass. Yes, it could break. Am I worried? No, not really. I love this water bottle. The silicon sleeve that is wrapped around the glass adds a great barrier around the glass. Have I dropped it, yet?!? YES! I actually have dropped this water bottle. It rolled out of my car when I opened the door onto the cement driveway. Glass is still perfect. There is a scuff mark on the plastic lid now though. :( However, I was very relieved at the durability of this product. I don't like that I have to bite the straw to drink. Sometimes I just want to chug-a-lug and the design of this straw makes that a little impossible. Nothing wrong with it, as it does uphold the advertising that it will not leak. It doesn't. Having to bite the straw just isn't my favorite. I love that it is not plastic. My water doesn't taste weird because of the plastic-- I have water bottles that smell and the water has a funky flavor even after cleaning repeatedly. No worries with BPA either. It can get pretty heavy though. I wouldn't recommend taking this running--unless you wanted to use it as a weight while you run. But I would recommend it to anyone contemplating a water bottle. I am loving it!

THE water bottle for me.
With the addition of a custom glass straw, this is the BEST water bottle I've ever owned. It's the perfect size (large enough that I don't run out of water while teaching a class, small enough that it's not unnecessarily heavy), attractive, distinctive, sturdy, durable, doesn't affect the flavor of the contents, and (if you only use it for water and make sure to empty it overnight most of the time) rarely even needs to be washed. I am mildly paranoid about knocking it over (I mean, it IS glass), but I have zero other complaints. I'm even considering buying a second one for home, and I almost never do that. Highly recommended. EDIT 2/12/18: So this bottle survived about three years of daily use in my classroom and several falls to the floor (linoleum). It finally broke a few months ago when I dropped it in what must have been exactly the right way, and I've since replaced it with exactly the same thing. On top of replacing my own, I also bought one for my husband to encourage him to drink more at work, and I also bought one for my children's nightstand, which they LOVE. All three have glass straws from GlassDharma, and I appreciate so much how infrequently I actually need to wash them. Best water bottle ever!

20 year old guy trying to get into drinking more water
The sink in my bathroom is pretty disgusting and while I can wash my hands with the water, I don't really want to drink the stuff. I started using Fiji water bottles to fill up on the tap downstairs in the kitchen, but I've heard that reusing plastic water bottles that way can be pretty unhealthy. My solution at the time was to get this water bottle, but it didn't turn out to be what I needed. The pros: - The construction quality was pretty good. The rubbery grip on the outside of it wasn't some cheap kind, the glass seemed fairly strong. - It being made with glass allowed for little to no extra flavor. This might sound weird but the glass somehow made it feel like cleaner water. The cons: - The biggest fault of this water bottle is that it really doesn't hold that much water. I didn't realize how little of an amount .7 liters of water is until I found myself making way more trips down to the kitchen than I was before. So if you're looking for a water bottle that you don't need to fill up very regularly, unless you drink a very small amount of water per day, this is probably not for you. - While the general construction quality was good, the lid would leak a lot. The leaking would mostly happen just after filling the bottle, and it was enough to be inconvenient - enough to fill up a gatorade bottle cap. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but a water bottle really shouldn't be leaking at all. Overall, it's an okay water bottle I suppose. It doesn't fit my lifestyle at all, but I'm sure there are people this is the perfect bottle for. However, if you find yourself relating to what I've been saying here, you might want to check out the Klean Kanteen 40oz. because that's been great for me so far.

CamelBak wins again!
I bought this bottle along with the Swig Savvy Glass Water Bottle, Extra Large 25oz Capacity, Non Slip Silicone Sleeve, Borosilicate Glass Construction, BPA Free, 3 Interchangeable Caps-Red , since I had a plastic CamelBak Eddy (that I loved, but I wanted to move to the healthier glass alternative). The Swig Savvy was a lower price and had good reviews, and the CamleBak I knew I enjoyed, but didn't want to pay twice. I wanted two bottles anyways, as I was tired of carrying bottle back and forth to office in backpack, so I can leave CamelBak at home for working out / weekends and the Swig Savvy could be used in the office. The CamelBak is incredible and I will eventually get two of them. For the Swig Savvy, I use the straw lid (it comes with three options) since I love that feature about the CamelBak, so my review is posted in that light. I don't like the straw feature in the Swig Savvy bottle since it suctions when you drink and is noisy. There isn't a vent while drinking, so it suctions in the bottle and there is a loud gurgle when you release the straw. Makes it difficult to use in the office, every sip is loudly announced. The CamelBak is heavier than the Swig Savvy, but the drinking system is unbeatable! I wish the CamelBak was all pink, but the swirl is an attractive color.

Me gusto

Ansonsten top 👍

Looks like the pictures. Fits the description. And meets the high standard of Camelbak products.
