It works
Everything was fine, except the supplied washers were too small for the old toilet’s holes.Needed to use supplied extension due to length of toilet. We used better than supplied wax seals to complete job.Very sturdy.Expensive but worth it to me.

Wonderful! And, easy to install too.
I spent an entire day looking for options to raise the height of the toilet for my 85 year old mother who had recently had a stroke. I even called two plumbing wholesaler's here in Denver. When I couldn't find a toilet bowl (except for a $600 one on Amazon) that was higher than the Comfort Height toilets I already had installed in the house, I discovered a dirty little secret about ADA toilets. The bowls are the same height as the Comfort Height---but in order to be sold as an ADA Toilet, the manufacturer's simply added a toilet seat. If you have bought toilets before, you realize that they are generally sold without a seat. But, an ADA toilet is simply a Comfort Height toilet bowl with a seat added. It is all smoke and mirror marketing, and does nothing for the person that really needs a higher seat. We bought this 4 inch riser and it was an easy install. It brought up the comfort height Kohler toilet we already had up to 20 inches. My mother was thrilled because we were able to get rid of the uncomfortable commode seat with the handle she had been using since the stroke. There are easy install videos on You Tube as well as drawings to help you decide if you need to purchase the extension kit. You measure from the bolts forward. It could not be easier. What a heaven sent solution.

Sitting on the throne
I would have given 5 stars but for one thing. The wax rings did not have the rubber flang like the new ones. We installed this because we had just put in a new so called ADA height stool that was only 17" tall but was way to low for my wife to get up from without a struggle. She is going in for a knee replacement in November and there would be no way that she could use the toilet that low. We installed the riser and it add 4" to the height so now she has not problem getting up she just stands up no problem no assistance! She says that "she is sitting on her thrown!" This product seems very study and has been very stable, as we are not petite people. I ordered both the Medway riser and the Toilevator to compare. The Medway was much heavier and seemed sturdier, also the Medway came with brass bolts compared to the steel with the Toilevator. If you have any problem getting up from the stool this is the way to go.

Blessing for the seniors
Best invention ever for people 5' 5" or with longer legs, for seniors, for arthritic bodies or other medical needs. It looks good; looks like part of the toilet, and it's adjustable for the newer toilets that have a little more length than the older ones. My entire family has purchased this item. If you need risers for medical reasons this is much nicer looking than those items that sit on top of the toilet seat. It's very sturdy, and it came with everything needed for installation, and was easy to install. I am extremely happy with it. I originally purchased because of bad hips, but now it's just a nice height. I wish they would come up with something like this for bathroom sinks, which for me are just too low. (put some books on top of the closed toilet seat to see if you like the height)

Installation can be better served with better and more detailed instructions. References to existing YouTube clips would also be
Not being a plumber, I was a bit intimidated. The enclosed instructions were a bit sparse, but after YouTubing installation procedures I was able to remove the toilet, clean off the old wax ring and install the first ring and elongated bolts to the floor flange. After aligning the base and inserting my hand into the down tube I got the alignment perfect. The top cover was quick and easy and the second wax ring was simpler than the first. Lifting the toilet on to the riser was tricky because of the weight but after carefully lining it up to the bolts and wax ring the job was complete. Tightening the nuts and caulking it was the finishing touch. Glued the same floor tile around the top and base of the riser to give it a perfect blend. My hips and knees send Medway Corporating many thanks. My wife likes how it compliments the bathroom too.

Much safer than the other options but has room for improvement in some areas
This is a much safer option for raising and mounting the toilet. We upgraded from a device that sat between the rim and the lid/seat. That configuration made a very unstable seating area. Any off center movement or sitting down off center meant the riser would slip off the toilet rim. This riser kit was solid on the floor and solid where the toilet mounts to it. There were no mickeymouse set up's with extension tubes. Everything was molded into the new base which I like. The new flange bolts were long enough and hold well.My only gripe/complaint is the wax rings that are included with this are about the smallest, thinnest rings I've ever seen. There is no rubber flange inside, it is simply a wax ring. Although it would most likely work for some applications I didn't use them as a quick measurement told me they were not going to be tall enough for our toilet. A kit costing this much should include a substantial wax ring at minimum, but, it would be much better if they didn't use wax as the test fitting and refitting destroys a traditional wax ring. (Yes you can test w/out wax rings, but had I not done this with another toilet I'd have never known the included wax rings would be too short for our toilets thereby allowing sewer gasses into the house or leaks!) Newer products that are not wax should be included for that purpose as well as ensuring a good seal. If you purchase this to raise a toilet, spring for better seals. I would recommend this riser as a great option for larger based toilets and one that gets the seat height up a good 4.5 inches.

Had heart surgery and needed an easy way to get off the throne without straining. All healed up and going to take it out.
