Crepe Paper Flowers: The Beginner's Guide to Making and Arranging Beautiful Blooms

This is a excellent book with tutorials and tips for creating flowers out of crepe paper. The flowers are gorgeous! The author presents very clear and complete directions for each project, with step-by-step pictures. It is wonderful that the author provided SVG and PDF files (to be used with a Cricut or other paper cutting machine). The only thing that could be improved, would be the pages that have white text on top of a light colored background (some pages are more difficult to read). I like the free patterns, step-by-step instructions on how to assemble the flowers, and instructions on how to cut them with a Cricut as well.

I was worried from another review that I had wasted my money but all the lovely pictures are there and all the links work. Oh the pictures are beyond lovely, they are crisp, clear, detailed and a work of art. The author has done a fantastic job explaining the different types of crepe paper, where they are made, how to use each and where to buy them. She lets you know what is in her toolbox and since some items are pricy, what is the bare minimum you will need to get started. The great thing is that if you do a bit of quilting or sewing you will probably have most of the items needed. She mentioned using card stock to make the master pattern for the flowers but I would use the plastic sheets that you use to make quilt patterns. These would last a lot longer. I have never made crepe paper flowers but reading this book made me feel that I too, with practice, could be making wonderful flowers soon.

All the photos in the book are beautiful. Even photos of materials and supplies are artfully arranged and make you want to dive in and make flowers. Each flower gets its own chapter and illustrated steps to make. Templates are at the end. A code to download the PDF and SVG files are included. I have not tried the codes yet. However, the Kindle version does not allow Right click for printing items on page. The most inspiring chapter is under "Flower Arrangements" and includes projects such as wedding bouquet, garland, wreath, corsage, boutonierre, vase arrangements and flower pot arrangements. Done right, crepe paper flowers can take the place of ubiquitous polyester faux flowers. Unlike real flowers, they don't fade and die. The flowers to make require hot gluing individual flower petals together, which is more realistic, but also tedious and time consuming. The crepe paper to use is a plug in for the author's own line of specialty and upgraded crepe paper, but will also be superior in color fastness and durability.

I am just starting to learn paper flower making and this is a super book to get started. The detailed steps and products needed are explained and easy to follow. I like that she includes printable templates in book to use as guides for petals and leaves.

I bought 5he book for several reasons, mothers day was coming and I wanted to make something unique for mom and mother-in-law (Iris'). Also went on vacation and needed a project to do with my nieces. They are middle schoolers and we made Hibiscus. They turned out great. And now I'm ready to do a few different types for the house. Easy to use and a great hobby for at least 11yrs. and up.

Même si vous ne parlez pas Anglais ce livre vous sera très utile. Ici pas de bla-bla inutile mais des exemples car il contient des pas à pas et des schémas grandeur nature pour permettre de faire de nombreuses fleurs de papier.

趣味で切り絵の花(立体のもの)を作っているので参考までに購入。 結論から言うとクレープ紙を使うものらしく、直接的には使えませんでしたが写真はきれいで見応えはあります。 言うまでもないことだと思いますが海外の本で英語ですのでそこは押さえていた方がいいです。が、作り方も写真で載っていますので物作りをしてきた人はなんとかなるかと思います。
