Pretty good overall but
I'd like to have a Deluxe edition HC with a complete saga.

Classic Characters , New Era, GREAT ADVENTURES
DC's NEW AGE of Heroes gave comic fans revisions of classic heroes , new heroes for the 21st century and new teams . One of which is The Terrifics! Composed of Mr. Terrific the world's 3rd smartest man, Rex Mason aka Metamorpho the Element Man, Phantom Girl of the Legion of Superheroes and the alway manic Plastic Man aka Eel O'Brien former small time thug . Due to an incident they're forced to stay together in order to preserve their lives. A nice balance of science, emotions and humor keeps thing interesting. There's a lot going on in this introductory collection and I don't want to spoil anything so I'll stay mum.The team of Ivan Reis , Jose Luis, Joe Bennett and Evan "Doc" Shaner on art and the awesome Jeff Lemire on writing gives this the 1st of 3 volumes a slick flashy look and enough meat to make you hunger for more adventures . There's also a bit of character designs in the back too! These aren't exactly 60's era heroes we remember but fresh updates with a story to tell. Recommended.

Fun comic and better than you might expect.
This book was a very entertaining read. I have not read any of the Dark Nights comics yet. I was drawn to this one because I'm a big Plastic Man fan. I know basically nothing about Mr. Terrific. The only thing I'm not that fond of is the team costumes. Seems unnecessary to me, but it's no big deal. I honestly wish this book was longer. I can't wait for the next volume. People have made the connection to the Fantastic Four, which makes sense, and I think it is somewhat intentional. I mean the leader is Mr. Terrific, as opposed to Mr. Fantastic. Also two of the most popular stretchy heroes, Mr. Fantastic and Plastic Man. But I will say that it's similarities to FF end after the similarities between the characters. I've got high hopes for this one, and I hope there's a larger hardback edition coming in the future.

surprise!
Given that most things post-Metal haven't been worth using for TP, I was surprised that I actually enjoyed this. Great utilization of previously under-appreciated characters, and a fix or two for past problems with them... all in all, worthwhile (even with the hokey hook for staying together). Looking forward to more.

An entertaining romp. Excited for volume 2!
This is a very solid team book from DC that is comprised of often overlooked characters.

Fun ripoff of The Fantastic Four
Most of this series is leavened by healthy doses of Plastic Man.

Pass
In theory this should have been an amazing book. I was so bored I barely finished it.

A história é bem mediana. Nada diferente, nada extraordinário.

Excelente leitura
Vale a pena acompanhar a série.
