ReeseExplore 1041000 10 cu. ft. Car Top Carrier, Black

Bought this before my daughter's freshman year in college in order to help her move onto campus (about 500 miles away). She has now finished her junior year so the carrier has survived 6 one-way trips (to school in the fall, back home in the spring) and shows no signs of wear-n-tear. It's small enough to fit between the rooftop rails on our Mazda CX-5, but big enough to easily hold six paper boxes (the kind that hold 10 reams of copier paper) plus a few other judiciously placed soft items (think pillows & bedding). As far as waterproofing goes, we've only experienced one brief, mild shower and everything inside the carrier stayed dry, but I'm willing to bet that a good downpour would penetrate the carrier so it's not totally waterproof. Overall, for our usage it's been a great buy.

Size wise, fits item i needed it for perfectly. Straps r good…but the bag now has a small hole in it after first time out..bummer. Its not waterproof either..

I was so excited about this rooftop cargo bag. But it was poor quality, cheaply made and not at all waterproof. I got it so that my car would have more space during family road trips but by the time we got to our location everything in the bag was wet the zipper busted and it barely stayed on top of the car (tie down straps burst on us)

Used on trip recently, It held up under normal to lite use. No serious weather. Lots of sunshine. Approx 1500 miles round trip?. Used w/ roof cargo basket. Strapped it to basket. Then ran bungie cords as double measures thru strap eyelet's(crisscrossed). Everything stayed secured.

Held together for over 8 hours wouldn't trust it in the rain though

Very easy to put on the car. Not very quiet like I thought it would be no big deal. You get used to it.
