Dept 56 Snow Village Griswold Holiday House Cousin Eddie RV 5 PC Set

My order of the Dept. 56 Griswold Holiday House and Cousin Eddie RV 5 pc. set arrived on time and the items were as described by the seller. I love all of the individual pieces in the set, BUT I was very disappointed in how the manufacturer boxed each of the pieces in their individual boxes. It was VERY difficult to remove each one of the pieces from their individual boxes. It was so difficult that in order to remove one of the pieces from its box, my husband had to cut the box along the seam with a razor blade (so it could be glued back together more easily and without being too noticeable) to get it out of the box. I have purchased many, many Dept. 56 houses, buildings, figures, etc. over the years and I have NEVER had this problem of getting the items out of their boxes. As a collector, I know that it is important to keep the original packaging and keep it in good condition because if or when you decide to sell, it will add to the value of the item if you have the original box that the item came in.

This item arrived in perfect condition and was very carefully packaged. Buying the set all at once was very convenient and more economical than buying them separately. The house comes with a plug-in adaptor. The RV is battery-operated but you can buy an adaptor separately. The items are very detailed and beautifully painted.

Love these they look so cute displayed with my other Christmas village and a good conversation piece.

The movie is a family tradition so I love the whole set but I wish the lights were a little brighter on the Griswold house.

This was just what we wanted! Love Everything about this set. The lights are great but do wish the RV was on a plug.
