My dog hates being brushed so took a risk with this as she desperately needed a good brushing. We also have four cats who are shedding and aren’t keen on the two brushes we currently have, and they just aren’t doing the job. This brush is a god send. The dog loves it and asks to be brushed. The cats like it and don’t get bitey or swipe at you. The brush is brilliant, I’ve never gotten so much hair from the cats. It’s extremely effective. I will say that our elderly girl with hyperthyroidism isn’t as keen, and you do feel a little like it’s a bit rough for an older, skinny cat - but if you go slowly and carefully it works great. I have included a picture of the hair from just one cat after a quick brush.

This brush is amazing. I have a short haired Jack Russell who gets board with being brushed however with this he will lie there forever while I groom him. Can’t believe the amount of undercoat coming out of him. Good price too. Much cheaper than others I have seen advertised. Definitely recommend

Surprisingly good! Used on a Cocker Spaniel with medium length fur. I made sure her coat was tangle free. The first time, I smoothed a grooming chalk block over her fur, to help the comb glide smoothly. But as the comb glides well without chalk, I didn’t use chalk again. The brush is comfortable to hold. I held it at a slight angle, so the teeth weren’t pressing into her skin. I brushed in short strokes, see video. She didn’t have a lot of undercoat, as this is summer and it’s been naturally shed. But it easily removed what was left, without discomfort. She’s now been clipped, to help keep her cool in the heatwave. The short video shows her being brushed after the clip. And the photo shows what was removed in that short time.

Good brush, really gets the hair out from the undercoat which is great for my cat who has really thick hair and sheds all year! Just be careful if you have allergies like me as the hair doesn't grip to the brush and goes flying haha. My cat seems to enjoy being brushed with it though!

I was really pleased with the results from using it on my cats for the first time. I’m trying to make them more comfortable in the recent heatwave and also to reduce hair ball issues. My girls cat is a very on her terms cat and she sat with no fuss at all and let me brush her. Their coats are now lovely and shiny. Would recommend I was shocked how much hair come off them

I'd seen a video online for using these on dogs - I know they're great for horses. It does remove some hair but on double coats it just doesn't get deep enough to do anything substantial apart from on the bottom of his legs. The tool itself has a nice design - it's not too large and not heavy so it is easy to hold for a long time. Would be suitable for shorter haired dogs.

Worked great on my German Shepherd, never seen so much fur come off him.

This brush is amazing If I could give more stars I would. I have always had trouble with my jack Russell’s constantly shedding coat. (Anyone with a terrier will know exactly what I mean) No matter how often you brush him it was none stop hair everywhere. This brush is a game changer, his coat is now lovely and shiny and I have noticed a huge difference in the amount of hair around the house. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

My female short haired cat LOVES this! She has gone from hating being groomed to lying down and purring while she's being groomed. Perfect time to buy it too, just as she's blowing her coat. I'm very pleased with this, and so glad I bought it!! Edit: This has worked brilliantly for my long haired cats too! Took away tonnes of shedding under coat!!

Doesn't work well on long haired animals. I have a domestic long haired cat (hair lenght like a Maine Coon) and this takes away a bit, not much more than a classical brush. Also, my cat doesn't like the feeling of it much.
