I have a double front entrance door in the front of the house & it is very windy there. The old weatherstripping had dried out ; pieces were missing, and the cold air was coming in.I replaced it with this weatherstripping. It was perfect . Easy to install, thick enough to keep the wind out ; but pliable enough to not make the door too hard to close. I would definitely recommend this.

I'm skeptical about this item. First of all, the slot in my door was in the "inch" limits listed for this item. The gap strip was very slim, and slid into the gap/slot quite easily, but since this item did not have any type of adhesion, I'm just not sure if it will hold well. That being said, let me back up, and say, the directions are extremely generic, and should be a bit more specific, ensuring the item is installed correctly. I initially installed this item "backwards", which fit slightly snugger, since I used a plastic paint scraper to push the gap strip into the slot. It held very nice, and the weather stripping seemed to be nice and snug with the door frame. However, after completing all three sides, the one side of the door, showed sunlight all the way down the door frame when the door was closed. Yep, clearly, I did something wrong. Started over again and installed the stripping the opposite way. Now I don't see any sunlight when the door is closed, but I'm just not sure about how long this will stay in place, as it just doesn't seem to be "snug". We'll see.....cold weather is coming quickly.

This was so easy to cut and install, and it fits perfectly. Couldn't be happier with it!

I tried a different stripping earlier. It sealed good but it was allowing light at the door jams. I replaced it with Ravinte weather stripping. I was impressed by its quality. It keeps the dust AND the light out. The kerf mounts on the stripping were very firm and good quality.

We used this weather stripping as part of some small improvements around our home. It was easy to install and helped create a better seal around the door. I also like that once it’s installed, it’s very discreet and doesn’t take away from the look of the door. Simple and practical home improvement!

Cats shredded old ones. Fits well in metal or wood grooves, easy to install, and provides a good seal. Have black and white installed on different doors around the house so had to buy both colours and they worked the same.

Super easy to install, works great, great price! Cold Canadian winter draft blocked out!

Purchased the black and after putting it up on one side I realized I needed to paint a bit in beside the stripping and when I pulled it out the foam easily ripped away from the plastic channel(see pic). After that I carefully made sure to pull the hard plastic channel with pliers to ensure not to rip it. The reason I had to paint, as you can see in the picture, is because the foam does not sit right against the side so you can see down in behind. Hard to see in picture cause it was after I painted but before it was white and did not look good. Eventually it will most likely compress a bit and therefore close the gap. Anyway it seals well and does what it should which is seal the door.
