I bought a tv and it didn’t have any way to plug in the Wii. I bought this to plug in the back of the Wii and it worked great.

Our Wii has been packed away for at least 4 years. We decided to pull it out for old time sake. Unfortunately, with our new flat screen, the picture quality was not only horrible, but in black and white. After connecting this gadget, we are back in color and the screen is no where near as grainy. Keep in mind, when this console was released. Like others have mentioned, this will not provide PS4 quality, but it does make a HUGE difference in comparison to the original component cables. Super easy to connect :)

The product is reasonably priced and really improves image quality. Pretty much a must in terms of convenience and image quality for a modern TV. However, a few have complained that this leaves image quality exactly the same, and personally i wondered if it transmitted audio, given the headphone jack.It does transmit audio over HDMI just fine, im running mine through a receiver without issue.Right after you plug this into your wii, go into settings and screen. The option for 480P will now be available, this is what improves image quality, and it MUST be enabled before you see a difference. I also found that smash bros has an option for sharpening, which looked terrible before, but now really improves image quality.Additionally, I was experiencing pretty sever input lag on my tv, even in game mode with the stock cord. This instantly fixed that issue. Follow the instructions and it's a great product.

Overall I am very pleased with the adapter. I bought it to use with my Wii since I’ve got too many games to just replace for a newer game system and since my new TV doesn’t take RCA inputs, I was left with no other options.The picture quality is good, but I wouldn’t call it great. Remember that the image wasn’t meant to be hi-def so you aren’t going to get an incredible image. You get exactly what you did before you put the adapter into place.Let me reiterate, the adapter works great for what it’s designed to do. DO NOT EXPECT HI-DEF out of any type of adapter unless it’s specifically designed to up convert. For the price you absolutely want to buy THIS adapter.

This was money well spent. Having this little adapter makes hooking up your Wii to a HD TV simple and easy. As we all know, the Wii came out over ten years ago when HDMI wasn’t the standard HD hookup that it is today. The way you hooked your Wii up to your TV was via all those bulky component cables. Well that’s a thing of the past. Just purchase one of these adapters all you’ll need to do is plug one end of an HDMI cable into it and the other end either into either your HD TV or amplifier and then you’re good to go. It’s just that simple. Make the purchase, you won’t regret it!
