It really deep cleans but does not irritate (one of the issues I've had with other salicylic acid cleansers). It is quite drying but it also exfoliates quite well. For the first few weeks, I noticed purging as this cleanser turned all the bumps on my skin into blackheads. I also feel like this cleanser helps my other skincare products absorb better. Before, my skin was a greasy mess but now my skincare routine leaves a matte finish. My skin also looks noticeably brighter. I use this cleanser 2x a day (pm and am).
