I'm not a fan of the ventilation on the side because that would be a disaster when walking on a rainy day. It would be nice if the manufacturer's would abandon this idea for shoes. Pretty comfortable to walk in and still look almost new after walking for long distances over the course of 2 years. Not much wear and tear at all and definitely worth every dollar that I spent on them. Amazon needs to make the size chart more user-friendly because it seems as if I ended up with a narrow toe space on my left shoe or maybe my left foot is a little bit wider than my right. They're very cost-effective for what you get, a tough pair of shoes that fit great and feels nice all the time you wear them. These were no exception. The mesh mixed in with the leather upper region is pretty small and I can't see it being an issue anytime before the shoe itself wears out. I even got a nice hidden surprise, a 2nd pair of shoelaces included.
