I use a front load washer and we all know that they house water and are susceptible to mold growth if not cleaned regularly and ventilated (door left open after each use). The smell and black mold growth is difficult to eliminate. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt I should with this product because after many years of meticulous upkeep, I finally found a product that GENUINELY WORKS! While the price is high $8.99 a container and I needed to use 100% of it, well worth it. Every speck of mold is gone. I have no mold odor. First time in years. Here’s my tips. Read the directions. Wear gloves (low odor chemicals). Squeeze gel product using the awesome nozzle (pro tip) into every rubber lip and cranny. I let the product work its magic for 12 hours. After the wait, I rubbed the gel into all cavities with micro fiber towel. Removed the last chunks residual mold. Use the product on the glass door (it came out sparkling!). Lastly- use your maintenance product (Affresh or Tide front load washer maintenance packets) and run a clean cycle to remove the residual gel. Your washer and clothes will thank you. Again, I am extremely satisfied with the product. FYI It’s NOT made in USA, just distributed here. Ingredients are listed on the box. Very low odor product - use as prescribed and use ventilation plus again, wear gloves and avoid skin contact. I wish you a great day.

My husband and I recently purchased a new home. As excited as we were to be homeowners, my despair began when I started cleaning our laundry room. The previous owners left their front loader, which seemed to be in pristine condition (that is until I opened the door). The horror when I saw black mold EVERYWHERE! It was like the previous family never cleaned their washer AND closed the door while it was still wet cause boy how disgusting it was!!! I tried all sorts of cleaners, bleach, and nothing helped. Before I purchased a new gasket, I wanted to try to get rid of the nasty black mold and the bad smell that comes with it. Lo and behold, I found this! I used almost the whole bottle on the first try but was able to get into every nook and cranny. Couple of notes: • PPE is important. My bottle came with a pair of plastic gloves. If yours didn’t, make sure to wear any rubber or plastic gloves to protect your skin as you would with any other chemical cleaner and do not touch anything else with those gloves while having product on them. • I let it “marinate” overnight as the gasket was completely black from mold. • It must have a bleach agent within the ingredients as it does have a strong smell of bleach when use in large quantities. I wasn’t aware of this before using almost the whole bottle and ended up opening all windows for ventilation overnight. • If leaving overnight, they suggest covering the gel with plastic wrap to avoid drying of the gel. I didn’t follow the recommendation and it did dry in some parts and the mold cleared a bit but not completely on those spots. So keep that in mind if you have a lot of mold to get rid off. • As I used almost the whole bottle, that meant I had a lot of whipping to do. I used a large microfiber towel which I rinsed between whippings. It did help to use a damp towel as it helped remove the dry gel. • For the small spaces in the gasket, I used Q-tips as they were the only thing that could fit to remove the gel. It took WAY too many Q-tips so not recommended. • I ran one cleaning cycle with a washer cleaner to remove any remaining gel and then ran a small cycle with hot water only to make sure all gel was gone. As the washer was in dire condition to begin with, it still needs a second round of this mold remover to completely clear the mold, but for how NASTY and UNHEALTHY it was, this mold remover really is a miracle in a bottle. 100% recommend!

i inherited a older, neglected (but still running perfectly) maytag front loader washing machine. the machine is around 14 years old. due to it’s age, the door gasket technology was very new at the time, and they hadn’t quite figured out how to keep the door gasket from molding. while no mold came off in my laundry, it just looked bad and i wanted to try something to get rid of the mold. these were very old mold stains. i went ahead and spread the gel, and at first let it sit for 6 hours. wiped away per instructions. i would say a good 30 percent or so of the mold was removed, but still some remained. 2nd application i let sit for around 24 hours, and even more of the mold was removed. I think due to age, i won’t be able to remove the rest.. but im fine with it. i ran 2-3 clean cycles to ensure all the gel was removed. if you catch the mold early, i feel this will remove ALL the mold, but if your machine is older and neglected like mine is, you may have no choice but to replace the door gasket. i think most people reading this are in the camp of just when the mold starts appearing and not having to deal with 12 year old stains. i did notice that after using this the amount of water left over at the end of the cycle was around 90 percent less than before i used the gel. all in all i would say go ahead and order this. i think i will use the rest of the tube, and see if i can’t get the more stubborn stains out. very reasonably priced product that works pretty well!

I should have taken before and after pix. This product actually worked on my nasty mold stains in my front load washer gaskets. Don't rush it. Let it sit at LEAST 5 hours. I still cannot believe how well this worked with just a little effort. My machine even smells like new again. HIGHLY recommend. Will buy again. You should too.

This was the only thing that worked to remove mold stains from a washing machine gasket. I feel like I tried everything else, and nothing even made a dent, the mold had just worked that deep into the rubber. It did still take multiple applications, and a lot of mechanical scrubbing, but that was due to the severity of the issue, not this mold cleaner. As far as I can tell, there was no adverse effect to the rubber gasket, either. There was one slightly faded portion where I had to repeatedly reapply this product to one particular stain - it looked almost like a water spot afterwards - but even that has cleared up and the rubber returned to its normal color after a few weeks. This product will stain fabrics, however. So be sure to give the entire gasket a healthy wash down with clean water after you're done cleaning the mold from it. And running a few machine cleaning cycles before you run any clothes washing cycles is probably a smart idea, too.

I had low expectations as I’ve tried many other mold removers. But to my surprise, this really worked well. I followed the instructions and left it on overnight and in the morning, the mold came right off. Great product!

Good for the shower. NOT GOOD for the washing machine. My light laundry had yellow stains even after I had done several loads of laundry already. Including a sanitizing program. Only after 10 loads it was okay again.

We used this in our shower. We had started started to notice little spots of mold or mildew around the bottom where the chalking was. I tried several different methods to clean them and nothing worked. Then I tried this. I am so very happy with this cleaner. It did exactly what it said it would. Just put it on,let it sit and wipe it away. No scrubbing. So fuss no muss! I bought another bottle to have on hand. I will recommend this to anyone who needs this type of cleaner! I just bought another bottle to have on hand.

Compré el Sugelary Limpiador de Gel para Moho para limpiar mi lavadora de carga frontal y sinceramente superó mis expectativas. Excellent! I had lots of dark spots on my shower surround which had been there for years! With 2 lots of this they are gone!!!
