Great projector!
Setting up this projector was a breeze thanks to the easy-to-follow instructions. The built-in gimbal stand, autofocus, and automatic keystone correction made it simple to achieve a clear straight projection on my bedroom wall. The triple laser technology delivers exceptional picture quality, with vibrant colors, sharp details, and excellent brightness. The built-in speaker provides decent, clean audio, but in my opinion it could be louder. I appreciate that it comes with a hard-shell protective case, making it convenient to carry around. Overall I give it a 9/10.

Goldilocks projector!
I previously had and N1S pro and was unhappy with it. Needless to say I sent it back during the return window and I said I wouldn't buy another projector from JMGO, however when I saw the specs and the price on the N1S 4K I had to at least give it a try, and man I'm glad I did because this perfect balance of resolution, brightness, price, and portability. After having the N1S 4K for about a week now I'm extremely pleased. Pros: 1. Packs a punch with brightness 1100 ISO lumens(1375 ANSI) makes a usable picture even in moderately lit conditions. 2. It's much smaller than the N1S pro (around the same size as the XGIMI Halo series). 3. Has a 1/4 20 mount on the bottom to easily mount it to most standard tripods and projector ceiling mounts. 4. Has built-in Google TV OS and allows Native Netflix app to be used without workarounds and in full 4K resolution. 5. Has very decent audio quality with duel speakers that produce enough volume to fill a normal sized family room with out sounding tinny or distorting. Cons: 1. Google TV OS can be laggy at times, but not all the time. 2. No backlight on the remote control 3. No optical zoom or lense shifting. (But is to be expected at this size and price point. 4. Probably not the best choice for a more permanent installation as there are better brighter options for a true home theater projecter that doesn't need to be as portable as this. 5. Lacks an internal battery. I would have like to have seen at least a modular option that would have attached somehow to the base. You can however use adapter to be able to use this with a power bank. Overall if you want a really great and bright portable projector that comes without any major caveats, then I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMEND THIS UNIT!!!

JMGO N1S 4K laser
A decent laser projector with bright colors, light weight and automatic focus and keystone correction. Good for dark or very dimly lighted rooms.

10 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
It’s incredible. At first, the price scared me off a little, but after owning it for over three months, I feel like I can't live without this projector. It offers a very different experience compared to having a conventional TV. Its one downside is that it needs to be used in dark spaces, but everything else makes up for it: the audio is excellent, the image quality doesn't distort even at its maximum size, and you can take it wherever you want without the fear of damaging it—something that would be a concern with a TV. It’s like having a movie theater right in your bedroom. I highly recommend it; it is absolutely worth it.

Not so great as they said on paper
It has 3 main issues for me: 1) it's too dim (you cannot watch anything comfortably while the room isn't totally dark. You cannot watch soccer comfortably in any case. Compare colors on my photo - bottom projector is cheaper LED fullHD, top - jmgo), 2) it has laser rainbow effect that hurts eyes (now I now I'm so lucky my eyes are sensitive to this effect), 3) it has awful colors calibrations from the factory (maybe it could be fixed if spend several hours in tuning but it's not easy). Also the sound is below average (worse than jbl go) and Google tv ui is slower than on my 2 y.o. TV. Now pros: it well-built, compact and has a case. Autofocus, zoom, auto keystone are working great. It has eyes protection function which dims laser when somebody steps in front of projector. Picture sharpness and detailes in the dark are great. It consumes only 63w so you can use some small ecoflow battery to power it for hours. I returned this item and will buy some DSP LED projector with more lumens and better colors. P.S. to get 120 inch screen size you must to place this projector 12 feet from screen

Nice color/brightness. Compact form factor
This item completely exceeded my expectations. I really like how it looks, how silent it is, and the image saturation, brightness, and refresh rate were insane for this price. The perfect image comes with a fully dark room (the size of the projected screen on my wall is currently ~150"), but even if it has dim light, it still looks fine.

An outstanding projector that simply lost to another great option
I’ve owned and tested quite a few projectors over the past year, ranging from compact travel models to premium home theater units. The JMGO N1S 4K is one of the best all-around projectors I’ve used in its price range. The first thing that stood out was the picture quality. The RGB laser light source produces vibrant, punchy colors with excellent sharpness, and 4K content looks fantastic. Movies have a very cinematic look, and HDR content really shines. Google TV is responsive, Netflix is officially supported, and the projector is ready to use right out of the box. One of my favorite features is the built-in gimbal. It makes setup incredibly simple, whether you’re projecting onto a wall, a screen, or even the ceiling. Auto focus and keystone correction worked well for me, and I was usually watching something within a minute or two of setting it down. The built-in speakers are surprisingly capable, and gaming performance was better than I expected. Overall, it feels like a very polished product. In the end, I actually decided to return it, but not because there was anything wrong with it. I was also testing the XGIMI Elfin Flip 4K at the same time. For my particular needs, which include frequent travel and moving the projector around the house, the Flip’s smaller footprint, integrated lens cover, and optical zoom made it a better fit. That doesn’t take away from what the N1S 4K offers. If my priorities had been different, I would have been perfectly happy keeping it. It’s an excellent projector with a beautiful image and one of the easiest setups I’ve experienced. Pros • Excellent 4K RGB laser picture • Rich, vibrant colors • Google TV with licensed Netflix • Brilliant integrated gimbal design • Easy setup • Strong built-in speakers Cons • Fixed lens with no optical zoom • I ultimately found another projector that better fit my specific use case I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the N1S 4K. My return was based entirely on choosing the projector that best matched my personal needs, not because the N1S fell short. If you want an easy-to-use, great-looking 4K laser projector, it’s a fantastic choice.

I know i gave it 1 star, but have to add some context first, The good: This projector has almost silent fans, it's really impossible to hear if you are few inches away, and of course if something is playing. Overall size and weight: this is super manageable, portable and size shouldn't be a concern if you want to buy. It looks nice, definitely looks smart specially in my use case which is my bedroom. Brightness is fine too, in the dark room specially. Now the bad: Remote control is the worst i have seen since ever :D it's even worse than 20 flat TVs from 30 years ago. and of course, no backlight, and strangely lightweight. Keystone correction: if you are planning to use this projector in your bedroom nightstand and have an angle, you end up with smaller image, halo lights all over the picture and overall, less quality. this is something all the reviewers miss or don't want to mention. You can use manual keystone, but you will end up with nonrectangular image. The image quality while it's not bad, but doesn't feel like a 4K image, tested using multiple actual 4K sources and while it's watchable and better than cheap projectors, it doesn't really look sharp. Sound is not that loud, and the quality is worse than my phone. it's not horrible but won't surprise you at all. Dealbreaker: slow OS: I could still use and even enjoy this projector if it didn't have this dealbreaker issue, but you can't release a smart projector with Google TV as the main feature and not have a smooth performance. The OS is so slow that if you click on settings button on remote while a video is playing it takes about 10 seconds for settings screen to show up. and sometimes it doesn't even work. you need multiple try cause CPU is busy with playing the video. So, the CPU and RAM are not enough to handle what this was designed for. I even tried un-installing some apps to make it smoother but no, you definitely need an extra USB stick like Google TV stick to get an actual useable OS. Which raises the question why should you buy a smart projector if the thing that makes it smart doesn't really work. so, i rather buy a normal cheaper projector and use additional TV stick for my apps. attached the picture of keystone correction halo effect

Light spill, rainbow effect, dithering, and a bad experience with JMGO, US returns
Experience with JMGO: My first order of the JMGO N1S 4K was, according to JMGO, the first version of their product and had awful light spill (this is light that's beyond the border of the image and looks like a halo of light). This was already quite disappointing since it's frustrating that they would continue to sell the old version when a newer version is available. They told me to return the old one and re-order (no guarantee of getting the newer version. Luckily, I did receive the newer version which basically covers the lower part of the lens to reduce the light spill. Unfortunately the light spill was still visible with the newer version. While the projector has great image quality, this light spill completely removes you from the experience, especially when you're watching a darker scene and all you can see is a line visible underneath the image. The product page also blatantly claims that the rainbow effect is resolved but it is not, it is quite visible as another reviewer has mentioned in another review on amazon. I am not sensitive to it and own other DLP projectors but the N1S 4K really has it in a bad way. JMGO claimed to me that they are a small business which is also not true, they are a large player in the projector space. Overall my experience with JMGO has been less than stellar, and while the projector has a nice image, it is marred by strong rainbow effect, strong dithering (this looks like red laser ants running across the screen), and terrible light spill even in the newer upgraded unit. Considering all of this, I would not want to deal with JMGO in case I need to use their warranty and I would recommend another brand. UPDATE: New unit also has light spill despite their updated version. Also if you plan on returning this, be prepared to wait for a month to get your money back since this has to be returned to the US and has to go through customs clearance which could take a very long time. Currently waiting on two refunds both stuck at clearance.
