GEA Styrian Pumpkin Seed Oil - (500 ml) 100% Natural Gluten-free Virgin Pumpkin Seed Oil for Salad

Ive tried a number of pumpkin seed oils and only a couple had any decent flavor. For the price,this is very good oil and had that very good flavor. I'd say exceptionally, as one of the best I've had. There are others that cost a lit more that are maybe slightly better, but I'm not an expert, but an experienced oil taster to know good flavor, and flavor is what its olive about, right?

This is real pumpkin seed oil: dark color, roasted peanut taste, heavy texture. Not like some of the 50% cheaper pumpkin seed oils that come in plastic bottles & are probably 25% pumpkin seed oil & 75% canola oil.

I’m from Austria and found that this oil is pretty authentic to the real oil that one gets to buy at the local farmers in Styria which has a little green hue. Like one customer had suggested that it’s from Slovenia not Styria. Slovenia has prime organic farming and has good wine’s and organic cold pressed Olive oil. it’s located south and not far away from Styria. Always buy smaller quantities and store it in a dark cool place like a kitchen pantry, because the oil will loose its flavor over time if it’s stored incorrectly or not used often.I did have issues with the packaging send out by Amazon- it’s not wrapped in bubble wrap or in paper and the bottle heats up in the delivery van which is not good for cold pressed oil! I did reach out to customer service about the issue and got a refund for my first order! I went ahead and ordered it again and the oil arrived in the box the same way, but this time it was delivered in the morning and it wasn’t heated up. I wish that Amazon would instruct on how to package cold pressed oil correctly!

I always use the Styrian pumpkin seed oil for salads and a spoon in the morning raw. Tastes good and like the product. The original product has a tangy flavor which is lacking here. But, no gripes here.. Will order more..

My dad convinced me to try pumpkin seed oil over vanilla ice cream about 20 years ago, and I’ve loved it ever since. He passed away a couple of years ago, and sometimes when I miss him, I’ll make myself a bowl as a little treat. You only need a small drizzle over vanilla ice cream… it adds this wonderful rich, nutty flavor.I’m originally from Bavaria, within driving distance of Styria (Steiermark), which is where we always bought our pumpkin seed oil. Because of that, Styrian oil is really the only kind I want, and this tastes exactly like I hoped it would. It’s also delicious drizzled over salads.It’s definitely not cheap, but a little goes a long way, so even this small bottle will last quite a while. One warning: be careful when pouring it because pumpkin seed oil will stain your clothes FOREVER…Shipping took a little while, but it was packed very securely and arrived in perfect condition. For me, it’s worth the price and I’ll absolutely buy it again.
