The light lasts for a good amount of time at night. I wondered a bit about the solar panel, but happily it was hidden in the base of the lantern that hangs from the dragon so no ugly separate panel. My only slight complaint is that the lantern is clear plastic with a single LED so its a bit plain. Others have wished the light flickered, which I agree but at the least maybe a golden tinted clear plastic to make the LED more aesthetic and less obvious.
