Oggi EZ Grip Handle 4-Piece Ceramic Airtight Canister Set, Red

I ordered these to keep dry ingredients for baking sealed tight so that they stay fresh. They work really well for sealing their contents but the problem I had is that they are too small for what I wanted to use them for. Bummer.However...PROS:- not TOO red. They are the perfect "almost glossy" red. I like that the color is a little muted, but it is not dull. Hard to describe, but not hard on the eyes.- they open and shut easily. It is not hard to line up the seal to close it, and the latch is designed to tighten the lid on the jar. Very good design there.- The spoon holder is a nice touch, and I like that the handles are on the corner of the jar. This makes it easier to store side by side because you don't have awkward handles sticking out everywhere!- Easy to clean, inside and out.CONS:- Spoons are weird sizes for the jar. It is hard to get into the corners of the jars with the spoons.- Smaller than what is useful for me. The smallest jar just feels sort of useless because it won't hold even a normal sized bag of brown sugar, for example.Overall, I would recommend this jar for storing like miscellaneous kitchen things, or if you have art supplies or bathroom supplies like cotton swabs, twist ties, bottle caps (if you collect them or something), matches, hard or soft candies, oreos, etc. You can get a lot of storage out of the jars with items like that.

I ordered these as a gift for my mom before Christmas, amazingly they made it pre holiday, but they were destroyed. I contacted the company and had them replaced. It did take awhile because of the holiday season but they did replace them and they over compensated on the packing. She loves them but they are a little small. You cannot fit an entire bag of flour in them, but she doesn't cook and bake much anymore so its ok. For those saying the seal doesnt work, you have to wash and dry first and the little rubber gaskets at the top have to be streched into place the first time. Yes they all fell off when i washed them originally, but if you have ever worked with a gasket putting them on to where they stay is pretty simple and does work. Just make sure you dry them before putting anything in them! The handles are hollow so moisture will stay even if you think you've dried it out.

The item is packaged poorly from the manufacturer. I like the items and color. it is inexpensive so the latches are a bit flimsy. I would be ok paying a bit more for a better made/packaged item, as for the packaging it came with one of the canisters smashed inside the box. I returned the item per Amazon instructions and ordered another because I liked it and still wanted a set. The return package was on a chair by my door waiting for pickup when the new one arrived but was delivered to my neighbor by mistake. My good fortune (I think) because the new set also had a smashed canister inside. my good fortune because the other broken set was not picked up and I was able to replace the broken one in the second set from the first set. then the next day the first order was picked up and went back with two broken canisters, and I had a complete set.

Having read several other reviews, I would comment as follows: I don't believe that air tight and water tight are meant to be the same thing. I store baking products - not liquids - in my canisters. They are beautiful and have a seal that is more than adequate. Yes - the color isn't a true red, but it is so close to not even be obvious when next to all of my other red kitchen items, e.g., coffee pot; crock pot; bread box, etc. The handles are wonderful -- I had a previous set that didn't have the handles, and this is a really nice addition. They hold an adequate amount of product, e.g., flour/sugar. Basically - they perform as expected. I will note, however, that I took my sealed canister and submerged it in water -- with no moisture getting into the canister. To me, that's a lot more important than moisture seeping out. FYI, I am a caterer by profession and so I do look for quality products for both my home and business kitchens. I consider these canisters a quality product and recommend them.

Well, I love the color of the red. They match perfectly with my coffee maker and garbage can. I originally ordered these for two reasons, well 3 really. One, the handle, two the clasp closure and three because they are ceramic. Tired of all this plastic junk that's out. They arrived intact but I did notice that the handle on the smallest canister was clearly cracked in half and repaired. I thought to send it back but then realized I would have to send the whole set back and personally, I don't know that I would if I had bought them at the local store. Just doesn't seem worth the headache.

I really like the look of these canisters on my kitchen counter. The red matches other kitchen accessories we have. I use them to hold white and oat flour and white and brown sugar. It keeps them fresh and handy. The scooping spoons are big and useful. My only complaint is that some of the hinges are not well made. They hold the lid down but only if I squeeze the ends together first. They keep popping out of the holes. I wish the hinges were more sturdy.And for the record, I did NOT receive this product free or at a discount. I paid full price for it and am writing this review just to help other people who pay full price for stuff too!

These canisters look nice. I love the spoons that come with them and really love the handles. That makes it so handy when I need to grab one and scoop out what's inside. My only issue so far is that they don't seem to be completely airtight. My sugar tries to get a little hard. You have to close the lids just right to try and keep air out. It's possible other seals might be able to be used as the ones on the lids aren't permanently attached. A thicker seal might make them more airtight.

Love them no more slipping out of your hands when moving, also like the spoon on side. Goes well with my red kitchenaid items . Thanks again.
