The founding family was inspired by vendors who sold plantain chips on the streets of Havana, Cuba. At the time, not many people were looking for gluten-free, vegan snacks but it was no secret that plantain chips were delicious. Chifles produces a variety of tasty treats that offer a healthier alternative to traditional potato chips and other fatty, salty and chemically enhanced snacks. Plantains are a member of the banana family, but must be cooked prior to eating. Banana-like appearance aside, green plantains boast a savory flavor that’s uniquely their own. Our plantain chips are high in potassium – equal to a banana – and contain vitamins A and C. Chifles plantain chips are cooked in vegetable oil and seasoned with just a hint of salt, resulting in a tasty treat that’s a cut above traditional potato chips. With potassium, fiber, and vitamins A and C, they’re the perfect snack! Ingredients Plantains, Vegetable Oil (may contain one or more of the following: cottonseed, corn, canola, palm olein), Salt. ## Features - SIMPLE SNACKING: At Chifles, we have a passion for turning whole foods into wholesome snacks.
