Finally killed the AntS

Utterly ineffective. An overpriced spoof. I feel ashamed that I read, then ignored, all the negative reviews. These are the only truthful ones. The pictures showing ants swarming over these stations are blatantly fallacious - there is nothing effective in them. Which is why it is boasted that they are completely harmless to pets and humans! Thereby falsely cultivating a large market of safety-conscious consumers for a product that is of sufficiently low value to be an annoyance to return. The clue that there are no volatile, scent emitting compounds in these devices is that they arrive loose, without instructions/warnings, in their unsealed cardboard box. Effective chemicals would need to be preserved (e.g. by means of sealed sachets) until each device needs to be deployed. Further evidence is that ants are in no way drawn to the devices, let alone compelled to go into them. Save your time, money, patience and blood pressure. Avoid!

I was a little apprehensive of buying this given some of the negative reviews, but found that this brand was always recommended in the top three on most sites. So , I decided to give them a try. First, as many have stated , the contents differ from the advert, but also on the actual box. They work the same, activate the same way . I followed the instructions, and after only two days noticed a significant drop in the amounts of ants in the affected areas. The box states to give a week for best results, and at four days we are pretty much ant free. Only one ant seem recently. I have to say that I am impressed and feel that they have worked as advertised and would recommend them .

This seemed to work for ants , however due to the system it’s hard to know if it actually kills them. Would be good to have something sticky on the bottom to keep it in place

These things do work, it took me a couple of other products before I came to these. Once putting the bait station out in the path of the ants they were gone in 3 days. Value for money for getting rid of ants in the home ( I had them coming up on my bed) About the ease of use, make sure you press the top down firmly enough to break the seal of the bait, you should hear a little click when the seal is broken. If you are not sure you can see in through the top to see whether the seal has been broken or not, what comes out is a brown colour.

I should have read the reviews before buying... Slightly confused that other reviews show a different product? Who knows what you're gonna get ha. Anyway, the product I got doesn't look quite like the picture. Anyway, to activate this product you need to press down HARD to get the liquid to deposit. Even then, it felt like not much was coming out (so probably a lot wasted in the packet) and while the ants would go to it, it doesn’t last long so they never swarm, they just come and go lightly until it's empty. Poor product design unfortunately and, due to low bait volume, I have had to use multiple just to get them properly interested to attract more (although still not a lot compared to what is expected). I do think perhaps not enough transfer would have happened to kill the colony due to this. I guess time will tell but I'm not hopeful. 3 stars as it kind of works. I'm sure the bait itself is fine and good but the product itself is poor so it really lets it down.

i had ants start coming into kitchen the sprays and powder only killed the visible ants,i placed two of ferris bait containers on the kitchen top one evening making sure our food,fruit,biscuits were in sealed containers ,in the morning,the ants were only swarming around the bait station,i vacuumed up the loose ants,and assumed that the ants had taken some of the bait back to their nest, and fed the ants in their nest ,which became obvious as there were no more ants the next night or since. not tried a bait trap outside yet,it might rain !!! and spoil the trap unless sheltered.appears to work very well.

it takes quite a few days to work but it has done a good job ok. cheers dave.
