Great family BBQ
**** Update September 2022 **** 7 years after purchase and its still going strong! We've used the BBQ a lot over the years and it still looks great. We've looked after it and its sat under a BBQ cover in spring and summer when not in use and goes back into the shed between September and March. If I'm picky theres a little bit of rust around the weld joints but only its minor and you have to really look for it. The side trays have wooden black inserts and the sun has faded the wood slightly and the transfers indicating the burner heat settings has faded. Other than these minor things, its as good as it was 7 years ago! I was a little dubious about the enamel coated grill plates but careful care cleaning after use has meant they're as good as they were when I bought it. Im absolutely delighted with the BBQ. **** Original review *** I was a bit dubious about buying a BBQ from the internet, especially when there are a lot of negative reviews about other makes on Amazon. The reviews on here settled my mind so I bought the 4 burner model. Delivery was quicker than I expected arriving 2 days after the order placement. It came as one big box weighing 40kgs so make sure you ask the delivery men to put it somewhere out of the way. Assembly is relatively simple, taking under an hour with clear instructions. You will need a 10mm spanner and a cross head screwdriver to assemble and a bit of floor space. The free gas regulator was a bonus, however attaching the gas pipe to the BBQ require a bit of strength and elbow grease. This will be the same for any BBQ you buy but keep in mind that it will take 15mins to get on. Build Quality is pretty good. The lid is a little flimsy when opening but this is absolutely fine and I wouldn't expect anything different on a BBQ in this price range. The grills are enamel coated and can't comment about its durability yet but expect this to wear over time. These can easily and cheaply be replaced with cast iron when the time comes. The burners light first time with the ignition system so no need for matches and the knobs are nice and big. Operating the BBQ is a dream and the heat can controlled easily creating hot ends on the grill. The warming tray is a nice bonus to store cooked burgers and sausages whilst others cook. I cooked for 12 adults with any problems on the BBQ. Storage - the shelves don't fold down easily without taking bolts out so if you're short of space then take this into consideration.

A very good quality BBQ
This arrived today and being a competent DIY'er I found the assembly straightforward and the instructions easy enough to follow, it took about an hour and a half taking my time and with a few interruptions. As clearly stated in the description, mine did NOT come with a hose or regulator, so I ordered these separately. The metal used throughout is of a good thickness and the BBQ is very sturdy when assembled, I've just fired it up to 'burn off' as advised for 15 minutes and all three burners lit first time (once I'd bled the air out) the burners are easy to control the flame and having just cooked some sausages for a trial run/lunch it cooks very well indeed. I like the fat tray, which slopes down to a 'well' with a small tin underneath, so excess fat/juices won't lie in it or build up if cooking a lot of food. The grill and griddle plates are heavy iron and enamelled so are easy to clean and will withstand a stiff/wire brush, which is my preferred method of cleaning them and the sausages didn't stick at all. First impressions are very good and I'm very pleased with it, especially looking at the price of similar BBQ's elsewhere, one in my local garden centre at almost twice the price was actually less well made/thinner steel etc than this one. Time will tell how well it lasts, but I am very impressed so far and looking forward to steak and all the trimmings on it for tea!

Nice item, tried ky c
Fairly challenging assembly, allow a full afternoon. Suggest a socket wrench alternative to the little spanner supplied. You need plenty of space to check the package contents and to construct. Most of the construction diagrams are ok but some elements are very difficult to interpret, especially the gas connection to the hob. That diagram is inadequate. Finished article looks good although not tried yet.

Great Barbecue at a good price
I am really pleased with this Barbecue. Some context, this is the first time i have ventured into the world of Gas Barbecues and i looked at everything from really expensive to cheap as chips. I had settled on the size i wanted, 4 burner, and was going to by one that was double this price. However when i found this one, the specs looked identical so i took the chance. If i had one gripe it would be that it was a little fiddly to put together, but it took me no more than an hour to do it. On first use two things were obvious, having half the cooking surface as enamelled griddle plate is a massive bonus and allows you to easily cook things that have a tendency to fall apart on grill bars, and the burners are very effective, meaning the whole lot heats up really quickly. Whilst this is not as sturdy as a Weber, for example, it is a lot lighter, and this did make it easy to manoeuvre to its working position. All in after several uses I have no complaints, the enamel on the grill and griddle plate make this easy to clean, the drip tray under the cooking areas does catch everything, and little things like covers for the burners under the grill are nice touches that make keeping it clean relatively easy. I would definitely recommend this Barbecue, especially if you want a larger Barbecue at a very good price. As other reviewers have said get a cover with it.

Genuinely impressed.
Now, where to start. I would say I have an impossible to resist compulsion to research items before I purchase. I spent hours on amazon and other sites, reading every spec and review. Comparing every aspect. In the end it came down to this, and the Cosmo 6 burner (also available from amazon). I chose this because of the enamelled grills and the fact half is a griddle plate. I think, without doubt I made the right choice. I see a lot of complaints about people struggling to put it together etc, but I managed to do it in sub 2 hours with a 4 week old Baby and a hyperactive 6 year old to manage as the wife was out and I just could not resist the shining stainless steel. In truth, I think somewhere between an hour and two would be fair. Maybe want to use some of your own tools. Pipe grips, ratchet spanner etc were extremely useful for me. However, it can definitely be put together with the tools it comes with, although it just will require more effort and patience. I guess there is a lot of parts, which may seem daunting to someone whom is not technically astute. Connecting the gas hose up, little tip. Put the hose in some boiling water for a few minutes, it’ll become more plyable and you’ll slide it on the nozzles much easier. Once it’s together. It is truly stunning to look at. Really you would not expect to get something of this calibre for the money. Now, onto actual performance as a BBQ. I have held off writing this review, as I wanted to get a few good goes out of it. Cooking a variety of food. So, I’ve had this since the beginning of April. I am extremely impressed. Most of the time I will only use two burners. I think this bbq could manage a huge cook out no problem. The speed in which it heats up is incredible. 250c+ achieved in a matter of minutes. Confirmed this with another thermometer as wasn’t sure on the one provided. However, it is surprisingly accurate. I see some people complaining of fat dripping etc. Being hard to clean. I honestly don’t see how. It’s an absolute dream. I keep a degreaser spray under with a scotch pad, and some kitchen roll. The main body etc cleans up in seconds. The grills, rack and drip tray really don’t require much work at all to clean. I ordered the grill brush pro https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0030BIXAU?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title Perfect addition. Take the grills to the sink. Quick going over with that. Then a wash and wipe with some fairy and they’re like brand new again. They will fit in a dish washer, but they’re extremely heavy, and to be honest because of the material they are very easy to clean. Wouldn’t see why you would bother. All in all, I really have to say I am blown away with this for the price. It easily competes with BBQs 3 or 4 times it’s price. It has everything you really need. Everyone whom has seen it, comments. You can’t go wrong. It’s all good quality so should last for many years. So please, save yourself the hours and days that I invested reading and researching, and just buy this. Also... https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00WI5TBRI?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title This cover. Fits perfect.

It's great, but things you should know...
Delivered a lot quicker than promised/expected. The product - we bought this because we needed a gas BBQ, and the ones we'd seen in B&Q for same spec / features all seemed a bit flimsy in the example models they had built. This one is much better and well built. Things to be aware of: - This is one heavy box when it arrives! my wife couldn't lift it at all, and I struggled to carry to our garden and i'm a strong active early 30s person - This takes quite a while to put together, I would say it took me over 1hr and I had electric screwdriver to speed things up. I do follow instructions carefully, and these were ok to follow, but there's a lot of steps and a lot of parts to assemble - If you've not already got a gas bottle, expect to pay another £70 from Wickes/Homebase/B&Q (that's £35 for the gas, £35 hire charge of bottle) - The two parts i couldn't figure out for the life of me were these 2 x identical flat aluminium panels (part number 13) as it wasn't clear where they go apart from "inside" the BBQ as the last step of building it. Turns out (it took me a while) that they sit on top of the 2 x gas burners to protect the burners from fat dropping on to the naked flame (you put them under the open grill, not the closed griddle plate) But what's it like? FANTASTIC. We're vegetarians so to 99% of you out there my opinion on BBQs is probably not worth much to you, but this cooked evenly and brilliantly, no burning, great taste - and frying up onions on the griddle plate was excellent. The BBQ structure itself is strong and rigid, and no wobbling when cooking. Everything you could want from a BBQ design is in this. Any gripes? urmmm, no, not really - other than it's ridiculously heavy (hence prob why it's sturdy). Best BBQ we've ever owned or eaten from.

Looks great.
This bbq is good value for money the best in its range. It is ok to build everything slots into place with no fixings or parts left over. It can be built alone but is easier with a second person to hold parts whilst bolted. The grill plate and griddle are good but seem to be painted not sure if this is an enamel coating or non stick. They get hot very quick. Foil the drip tray and cleaning will be easier. The temperature gauge is very accurate. The warming rack could hinder your cooking at the back of the grill Bought with the fire mountain 4 burner cover which is a perfect match. Hoping this setup with last for years as a similar owned landmann bbq did. 1st USE* 1st burger cooked good. A fresh Angus beef burger not frozen, oiled to prevent sticking started on the grill side on high to get the char and lines then finished on the plate on low. Flame covers aren’t good they have burnt and become warped after 6 burgers. They still fit but with more use will be no good. Will be getting some better quality replacements.

Very efficient to cook on
Excellent bbq, apart from 2 bolts shearing off on the lid. Unfortunately because we had to use it that afternoon, we had no choice but to drill it and use different bolts so that was a bit disappointing. It was brilliant to cook on especially as we were cooking for approximately 30 people. Just a shame about the bolts.
