Excellent Portable Carpet Cleaner for Pet Owners
I just had to share my experience with the BISSELL Little Green Cleaner (Model 1400B). As a pet parent with two very active dogs, I was on the lookout for something that could tackle those inevitable messes on my carpets. Spoiler alert: this little machine did not disappoint! What I NeededWith pets around, you know the struggle of keeping carpets clean—spilled food, occasional accidents, and the dreaded muddy paw prints. I needed something specifically for spot-cleaning stains and messes, and this seemed like a perfect fit.Setting It UpRight out of the box, setting up the BISSELL Little Green Cleaner was a breeze. I’m not the most tech-savvy person, but this was straightforward and user-friendly. Plug it in, fill up the tank, and you’re good to go.First ImpressionsI was pretty impressed with its cleaning power. It feels solid and does a great job lifting stains out of the carpet. You can actually see the dirt and grime getting sucked up, which is oddly satisfying!Features I LovedOne of my favorite features is the Stain Trapper Tool on the handle. It’s a lifesaver! This tool traps the really nasty stuff (like pet urine or vomit) in a small, separate cup. You can pour it down the toilet without worrying about it contaminating the machine. No more lingering smells—a huge plus!Cleaning PerformanceIt's pretty effective at cleaning different surfaces and types of stains. I’ve used it on everything from spilled coffee to my dogs' messes, and it handled all of it like a champ. I have no complaints here.MaintenanceCleaning and maintaining the machine is pretty simple. You empty the dirty water tank, rinse it out, and you’re done. It’s hassle-free, which I appreciate. The DownsideThe only issue I encountered was that the handle tended to leak water. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s something to be aware of. I make sure to have a towel handy when I’m using it to catch any drips.Would I Recommend It?Absolutely! Despite the minor leakage issue, the BISSELL Little Green Cleaner has been a great addition to my cleaning arsenal. It’s effective, easy to use, and perfect for pet owners dealing with frequent messes. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable spot cleaner.

Oh this RULES. Game changer for my multi-cat household.
I bought this because I was tired of scrubbing cat barf out of the carpet and the furniture with paper towels and woolite spray. We have an older, bigger Bissell that's the big rolling kind, like a stand-up vacuum cleaner, and it still does a good job shampooing our carpets a few times a year, but it's no good with the little details, and it's just way too much trouble to deploy for a single barf. This works well on recent pet crimes. I also managed to drag about 90% of this years-old coffee stain out of it this morning in about 10 minutes, which I honestly did not expect to work. I figured that was there forever and maybe I could improve it a little, but nope. A true testament to the power of this little machine! The only thing I have not tested it on yet is set-in cat pee-- I'll probably update my review when I get a chance to tackle that.BEST feature is the Stain Trapper Tool, which is a detachable head for the hose that keeps everything you suck up in a mini-tank that's easier to empty, so you don't have to deal with trying to rinse something really gross out of the bigger, more unwieldy tank. Much more convenient for small messes that you want to deal with quickly. You'll have to stop and empty it every couple of minutes, but I just kept a bucket next to me for that.It has a generously long cord, the carry handle feels sturdy, and it's simple to use. Everything is labeled. If I have one criticism, it's the design of the water/shampoo tank. It's not flat, so you can't easily set it in the sink to fill it, it kinda just tips over and it's hard to see the fill line, especially in a white ceramic sink. That's the hardest part of using it, and it's not like it's super arduous so I'm not even knocking off points!I highly recommend this model! Especially if you can snag a "cosmetically damaged" one at a deep discount like I did. ;) Either way, it's worth the money. I'm already trying to loan it to friends just so they can experience the joy of stain-lifting.
